I've bought 2 of these ,I like the look and it's very useful ,but the chain is very delicate and both have broken easily..

Got this for a project and it came exactly as described! I know some people had issues with the product arriving broken, but mine arrived perfectly. Although I didn't buy it for its original purpose, it DOES magnify text so it works for what it's designed to do.

Retro / quirky throwback item that is functional. It is a 5 X magnifier. Glad I found it. It is not a high quality piece of jewelry but it is a functional little optical magnifier.* Added info: you aren't getting a monocle. This really works well as a handheld magnifier. I was just sharpening my knife and I inspected the edge for nicks I would usually find but need attention during sharpening. It works very well. I call it throwback because I remember ladies wearing functional jewelry, like my mother had a watch that hung from a neck chain back around 1965.

The chain tarnished and was a little too short and it was quite horrible but the magnifying glass and the metal around it held up pretty well

Liked that the metal was sturdy & that it’s well made. Looks great for a costume. It would be awesome if they put a better glass magnifier in it. I believe it might slightly enlarge things & the glass is made well enough/not loose or too thin. But definitely costume only & not real magnifying glass useful.

I bought this necklace as well as a 2 pack to get a silver and a gold. I love the idea of wearing it slipped up my shirt and pulling out to read all the tiny print on everything these days. Sadly, this was broken within a moment of opening it and the same with the others I bought. I was just standing in Nordstrom last weekend with the only one that lasted a month and it just fell to the floor. I had not even used it and it was safe under my top so it wasn't getting tugged. Just crap. I hate it too because it's a great little magnifying glass when you need it. I should have returned the first one when it broke but I didn't and the last one is gone. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK.

I love this. I originally picked it up for Halloween, but I wear it all the time. It's a unique pendant and I've received many compliments. The metal chain is lightweight but quite strong (hasn't broken, even when it got caught in a few things). The magnifier works well too, but I like using it as a regular necklace. Quite the conversation piece! Plus, it's about half the price of much cheaper necklaces. Can't beat it.
