Taste good
This has a good flavor to it not a strong coke or Pepsi taste it’s more similar to sun brewed sweet black tea. I stopped drinking soda because there is this strange after taste of lemon or sour milk so I figured it was the caffeine in my stomach but reading about ingredients used to make the soda it could be duck fat and I have developed an allergy to eating animal or meat products. So this is much better I use half of a half measuring cup size per 1 quart bottle of cold water and I freeze it to make ice cubes. I can use my blender to crush the ice I like to mix it with chocolate flavored and green tea ice cubes. The ratio to get it balanced is about 4 cubes of chocolate 2 cubes of the cola and 1 cube green tea I recommend using flavored water to help the mixture not get to thick strawberry is good

Not Coke Life, but still pretty good.
If the only Cola you like is Coke this is not for your. If you are like me and enjoy Cola's of all sorts of flavors and likes then this might be for you. It has what I guess you could say an earthier cola flavor due to it's natural flavors. I rather like this taste. It's ok mixed in seltzer/ Club soda on it's own. I like my flavors strong so I did have to double the serving size to fit my tastes. Sadly Coke doesn't make Coke Life anymore so I am basically using the same amount of sugar as a standard can of Coke, though unless you are drinking Mexican Coke I say you are punishing your taste buds. What this syrup is good at is Rum and Colas. I like to ad an ounce and a half of syrup to about 1-2 ounces of rum on the rocks then top and mix with club soda. Mix it all together and it makes a dang good rum and cola. Would strongly suggest if you like the classic cocktail. Oh and a word of advice. This stuff reacts with carbonated water pretty violently. It will fiz over if you add to much to quick so make sure to add and stir the seltzers in gradually.

Good Classic Cola Flavor
Classic Cola taste. After mixing with seltzer, the soda tastes more like the original Royal Crown Cola (RC cola). The Monin syrup has a lighter taste than Coca Cola. The Monin is much better than Soda Stream Cola syrup. When mixing the Monin syrup, or any other syrup for that matter, start with about half the recommended mix, ( 1 oz syrup to 7 oz seltzer) and work up to your individual taste. The mixed soda will be a lighter color than bought colas because there is no caramel coloring in the Monin.Caution though, the lid is not leak-proof. The first bottle I ordered leaked in the package and soaked other items in the carton. I thought that it had been tampered with, so initiated a return. I re-ordered and Amazon placed the second bottle in a sealed plastic bag, but that bottle also leaked a bit. Since both bottles leaked and the lids were sealed, I canceled the return. The best thing to do is order this item by itself.

Product Was Foamed Up Before Opening (Not Good!)
I’d say do not buy from this reseller. Product has bubbling at the top. It’s not eligible for return. When I first opened the product, there was a smaller amount of bubbling then shown in the picture. I thought it was just agitation from shipping. However, I have let the bottle sit, undisturbed, and there is more bubbling. This just indicates that there is some sort of bacterial growth.Unfortunately, as mentioned above, this product is not eligible for return. I will look into additional options for refund, but this bottle is going in the trash. To note: Have sold Monin for years & Never saw a bottle of Monin Syrup foam up inside a closed bottle (especially prior to being open.) Don’t get me wrong.....Monin is a fantastic product, this seems to be a fluke issue & I will be calling Monin directly and hope to follow up w additional notes.

Flat-tasting, bad after-taste, expensive.
I am an avid fan of Monin syrups, my favorite is the blackcurrant, so I wanted to love this. I loved that this is made with pure cane sugar and not frankencorn, but I don't like the taste. It has a weird, lingering aftertaste that is quite unpleasant--it's a "flat" taste that I just can't get past. I thought that adding more sugar or carbonation would help, but . . . . it didn't. I use this with my SodaStream and have not used it with store-bought seltzers or soda waters, so ymmv. It's ridiculously expensive, too, so I will not be ordering this particular syrup again, though I will continue enjoying Monin's blackcurrant and the raspberry flavorings. This flavor is getting two stars only because I love Monin's syrups, generally (just not this one).UPDATE: 7/14/17While I still think this syrup is not among Monin's best, I did just re-order it, so it must be at least "okay." This is why I changed my rating from two stars (I don't like it) to three (It's okay). It's still not what you want if you want a coke flavor to mix into a cola drink with your SodaStream or with sparkling water, but it is actually quite excellent in beef stews and other such beefy dishes. I found it to be quite a wonderful addition to my pie crust for minced pies, too, so as an ingredient in these types of recipes, it works beautifully. Whether or not you want to fork out this amount for what amounts to a spice or extract is up to you.

Tastes Great
This cola syrup doesn't use high fructose corn syrup, which is a good thing. It also means it won't taste identical to brand Coke, etc. Someone wrote that it tasted chemically, NO it doesn't! It tastes just fine. It's also a much better value than the ones that look fancier like Tippleman, Liber Co., and Strongwater. I've tried Liber Co. and I can say there is not a significant difference in taste between these two, at least not worth the money. I use 3 tablespoons to make a tall glass of coke, which means about 22 cokes in the bottle–90¢ per glass.
