Slotted Pure Ebony Bridge Pins with Abalone Dot Inlay for 6 & 12 String Acoustic Guitar

These are very nice for the price but quite big for the holes, I used a Dremel and a sharp knife to make them fit and they have made the sound quality ten times better. I have an Epiphone masterbilt excellente and for some reason all the hardware is bone but the pins were cheap plastic and affected the sound badly. Once I made them fit to size they are really easy to use. The abalone looks great and the bone causes a brightness in the tone of the sound, I will always use these in future

These bridge pins come in a little tin box with a sliding lid: the presentation is good. The pins themselves were visually a bit disappointing: the shell inlays are very small and with little lustre, colour or figuring. You may as well buy the cheaper plain ones. The pins were a little oversize for my guitar. I used an inexpensive diamond file to slim them down a bit. It’s much easier than using sandpaper and it took only a few minutes per pin. Then, lubricated with candle wax, they slotted in quite nicely. Do they work? I don’t know this guitar very well but there does seems to be some volume increase, possibly more clarity and definitely more sustain.

Awful to prep, took a long time to sand them down to fit, why so big! If it wasn’t for that it would get a five star review, once fitted they gave the guitar a clear crisp sound with great resonance. Totally changed the sound of my fender and i love it, ill never go back to plastic pegs or bridges ( changed these for bone also)

Bought from Anlicov first. Big mistake I received 6 plastic pins, now i have the honour of packing them up and sending them back. So in my search for 100% Ebony I came across Crosby and read the 1 star reviews but decided to take a punt and what I received was spot on and they came in a nice tin box to boot once they are fitted I have a pic box as well win win, one or two were slightly tight soon sorted and easy to fit the quality is good and there is a difference in sound all be it slightly but I have lost that very annoying rattle on my low E and that i am very happy about and yes I will be buying more from Crosby. These pins arrived quickly in a little tin than can be used afterwards for storing items such as plectrums. The pins themselves are bone and are quite thick. It took quite a lot of elbow grease to sand them down to the right size for my Epiphone Inspired by Hummer. However the effort is worth it as the sound is definately richer with the bone pins compared with the stock plastic ones. I don't know why they supply the guitar with the stock plastic pins but bridge and nut are alledgely bone. The bone pins are a definate upgrade and also are much easier to pull out to change strings.

Nice looking and nice quality. Sadly I can't use them as one of them is cracked and another one has a part of it chipped off so it is unusable. I am disappointed given the number of 5 star reviews. Sadly I can't review them for the fit or sound as two of them are unusable out of the box. Very disappointing given the price. Double check the pins when opening to make sure they are OK before using.

I saw people complaining these didn't fit but only had one which needed a little sanding. Less than 5 mins work, so no biggie. They're good quality real ebony, with abalone dots, so look much better than stock plastic pegs. I fitted these to my Taylor GS Mini, whilst changing the strings to 12 gauge. I didn't notice any noticeable sound difference but that's not why I bought them. I just like making a new guitar my own & for the price, it's a good upgrade
