Simple, Quick DIY for those mechanically inclined.
Worked great for me. Volvo doesn't offer this part since they want you to replace the entire PCV/Oil Separator cover which includes this kit already installed (Very expensive part / labor). Took me 15 minutes to replace just the diaphragm, most of which was spent getting the old cap off (You have to carefully break the cap's locking tab - that's why this kit contains a new cap). You must be careful to correctly align/orient the new cap/diaphragm/spring exactly like the old one before snapping it in place. Otherwise, you'll have to break the cap and start over with a new kit. Take a photo of the old cap before you remove it (Hint). Since these Diaphragms are fragile and tend to rupture, I keep a spare kit on hand in case I get the check engine light indicating a fuel trim lean code (Vacuum leak usually due to ruptured PCV diaphragm).

Perfectly Fit 3.2L NA Volvo S80 from 2007
Perfectly Fit 3.2L NA Volvo S80 from 2007 - needed a little tap-a-roony with a rubber mallet and wood block to get it properly seated once it was 90% in place. A bit fiddly to get properly placed (rubber gasket centered in plastic cap, spring properly in place) and once the cap is partially snapped in place, there's no going back. Perfectly doable, just be careful. Fixed the P0171 / P0174 / P0455 combo that I was seeing that was accompanied by the strange whistle/fart noise that I was hearing and the vacuum on the oil cap that I was feeling.

Fits 2011 XC-60 T6 3.0l
Product worked just fine. Cold day, working outside so heated the old one with a heat gun before removing. Placed the new one (cap only, not the diaphragm) in the oven at 220F while removing the old one. After old one was off (had to bust the retainer notches off in 3 places), new hot one just press snapped into place like a finger into butter, no hammering. You will need to replace a 21mm hose clamp on the hose that should be moved out of the way on the '11 T6. If it lasts 2 years I'll come back and give this a 5th star.

Excellent PCV diaphragm for '08 Volvo XC70
Fit perfectly for a 2008 Volvo XC70 3.2L. Note the orientation of tab slots on the existing PCV diaphragm before carefully clipping 2-3 old tabs with a utility knife to remove. Clean the hole in the oil trap with gas, then align tabs over the slots & lightly tap the new diaphragm in place. There are several YouTube videos to demonstrate this procedure. Diaphragm replacement is a much cheaper & time saving solution than an oil trap replacement.

DID NOT WORK
I have a 2011 Volvo s80 3.2 engine, despite being told it will fit on other websites as well it does not. To remove the original it will break so you can't put it back on. After removing my original with 120k mi. as someone recommended, ( youtube video) there was nothing wrong with it. Then I find out you can't buy the original part alone, you have to buy the whole cover which is over $266.00. My advise is don't change it if the car runs fine. Now this Dorman replacement would not lock down, no matter how hard I press on it. So I had no choice but to file down the slots so it will go down enough to snap in place. Then I thought problem solved but no, after starting it made a gasping sound that would not go away. So I had to carefully remove it without breaking the plastic and put the original rubber diaphragm and spring back . Now it's fine, what a waste of time and money, I regret touching it, so take my advise if your car is running fine leave it alone.

"fit" 2011 volvo xc60 3.2
looks like a direct replacement, but the cap never went all the way down. I think it's in there good enough though. Solved high pitched noise while driving

Works great!
This worked great you have to break the original one to get it off but once I got this on worked great took a little longer than I thought but also you have to disconnect car battery to reset the system you can't clear it with an obd2 reader

The alternative is to replace the complete oil separator box for more than 200CAD, when this part is the actual issue and the rest of the separator is a passive part of the system. It is simple to install, measured in seconds. The old unit doesn't like coming off without breaking off the mounting tabs, but the new one just snaps on. This got rid of a chirping noise, high crank case vacuum, plus it smoothed out the shifts of the transmission when cold (the transmission computer uses manifold vacuum???).

PCV valve was the cause as it created a whistling sound. Quick method to check leave car on and try to unscrew the oil cap off , I was not able to , now turn the car off unscrew the oil filter cap and turn on the car , the car should stop making the high pitch sound . If this is the case it’s the pcv valve . Unfortunately Volvo only sells the complete until so I gave this a try .. Best way to brake off the old tabs was to use a tiny screw driver set you can buy from the dollar store. Place the screw driver on the old PCV valve tabs and use a hammer or rubber mallet to hit it downwards, this will break the tab off, I managed to break three tabs then pried the PCV valve off .Prior to the install I lined up the tabs from the cap to make it easier for it to snap in place ..I Hand-pressed the cap and am golden
