What in the world is a hair smoothie and how is it supposed to be used! I am so confused.

This Shea Moisture smoothie is for dry hair that is naturally curly. It is a product that gives your dry hair the moisture it needs so it can feel silky and it helps with frizz and adds shine. If you use too much it will weigh your hair down. If you don't have dry hair it will make it feel greasy. I have read some of the reviews and I cannot stress enough, you do not need to use very much of this product, I think from some of the comments people are using way too much. This product is not a styling gel or a hold gel, it is to Enhance naturally curly hair. I feel it makes my dry hair smoother (as in, not brittle feeling and touchable).These are a couple of different ways I have used it:Most recently I used it after washing my hair with moisturizing shampoo/conditioner. (currently I just used Pantene, I switch this up on occasion, but find I don't need an expensive brand) after patting my hair dry with my microfiber towel, I section my hair into 4 and put a dab (just put the tip of your finger in the product) on a section by rubbing it in my fingers and through the hair. My hair is just past my shoulders. At that point, I style it the way I want it to be and I just let it air dry because my hair is already starting to curl before I get to the 3rd section (not because of the smoothie, but because I have naturally curly hair) . After it is partially dry, I then scrunch it up a bit with my hands and put some Cantu argan oil leave in conditioner on the tips of my fingers and put this on the very ends of my hair (I do this because my hair is super dry, you don't have to).Day 2: I don't wash my hair on day 2 or 3 (unless I went swimming or something). I just wet it down a little and put a small amount maybe a size of a nickel rub it in my hands and fluff it through my whole head of hair. For me this keeps the frizz away, gives it shine and bounces my curls back up. Also, I usually lay my head to sleep on a satin pillowcase. I have found that cotton pillow cases break my hair. Also, you can put it in your hair as mentioned above and then either braid or twist your hair in sections (probably 10-14 small sections), and sleep like that so it dries and then when you take the braids or twists out, it will make nice waves or curls. There are many u tube videos on twist outs and braiding. Hope this helps.

can it be used on caucasion hair. i use the shampoo and conditioneer. but was going to use it as a leave in style product. does it work that way?

Used it on my red heads very curly short hair with a pea size vo5 and kept it the way she wanted all day with out the pouf

Is this product suitable for type 2 hair and what's the best way to use it if yes...

I'm really not sure, but I would say maybe at least type 3 and/or thick hair. It's a cream that is heavy but not greasy. Probably best to try a sample first.
