Way brighter than expected - perfect application for my recreational drone flying needs
(NOTE: This is an edited review - see my update at the bottom) This is precisely what I was looking for when searching for an anti-collision light for my Mavic Mini, especially since that particular drone is so tiny and very easy to lose sight of, especially in a gray overcast sky (which matches its own color), and also in the sunrise/sunset twilight hours where you're usually battling the Sun rising and setting. It probably seems bit expensive for what simple hardware it is (it's just a tiny PCB with a 5-LED array and an equally tiny Li-Ion battery attached to it), but in my opinion, it's well worth the extra cash since there doesn't appear to be anything else on the market that even comes close to it in tiny size, extreme low mass, simplicity (no bulky plastic enclosure), and brilliant luminosity. UPDATE: The power switch ended up breaking off the first one I bought, but it's very possible I was just a bit too rough with it at some point. So take care to be gentle when turning these on and off . Also, I had gotten a few more in order hot glue them into an 360-degree vertical array, but it turns out that the temperature of the glue is hot enough to mess up the soldering on the PCB (which I should have known) and I ended up toasting the circuitry on a couple others. So if you are thinking of doing something similar, keep the glue away from the traces. This is still a great product, so don't let my costly lessons deter you from trying one out.

Very bright CREE lights
I live in an area where I can fly for miles and my UAV is in "line of sight." Finding my MA2 visually can be a challenge at any distance over 100 yards @ 350 ft alt. This lightweight strobe makes VLS a snap. I can focus on photography and see the strobe peripherally. I have low flying sight seeing planes, rescue helicopters, crop dusters, and a variable pop-up "we ain't messin' around" No Fly Zone patrolled by low flying aircraft - (Go Joe). I want to be seen. I used the included Velcro to attach the strobe to the back starboard leg. My thinking is that I can maintain VLS going out to a location, grab some photo's then focus on my UAV on the return to home. I made my selection based on need to be seen, then lightweight, then cost. Great value.

Works great but ugly
Very bright and compact. I use it on my RC airplanes when I go over 500 ft. Just wish it had a cover or something as the raw circuitry looks unfinished. I need to make something to make it look finished. The manufacturer could have done it easier and cheaper.

SUPER Bright
No issues on my DJI mini 2 A very bright and lightweight simple light. I can't tell you the technical details on how bright and how far away you can see it from, but I can see it flashing as far as I am comfortable flying my drone (.5 mile +). Velcro holds fine with no issues. The only two things I would like to see added would be a simple battery status light, and a usb-c charger port. Battery life is pretty short but I guess it makes sense because the light is extremely bright.

How do you know when fully charged?
Just received the strobe lights and seem insanely bright during the daytime and nighttime wow! I returned my Symtik strobes which are very bright but very very heavy. These strobes are featherweight so I bought another one to add to rear of drone to track as it's flying out. My one critique is, there are no instructions included in packaging so don't know when it's fully charged. The indicator lights have been green and red for a while now. I did receive a reply from the seller and said it will be steady green/red indicator when fully charged. Maybe they should include in packaging or at least post on website description.

On Off Switch
I purchased this strobe for my drone and after using it only a short while I noticed that the on and off switch isn't always turning it on and off. I have to go back and forth a few times to either turn it on or shut it off and that's a real bummer. Other than that it probably would be a great little light for drone users at night. As far as the brightness it is indeed very bright and as far as that goes I have no complaints.

Very bright but on/off switch will quickly fail unless it is carefully handled - update
Upon closer examination, the switch is not meant to be exercised for routine on/off power cycles. It is a switch for programming PCB's, not really for the purpose here. It failed after about 15-20 cycles, just outside the return window. The LiPo battery self discharges after a few weeks. For $30 one would think the switch would be better quality. Update Jan 1, 2021 - The switch is a standard PCB type. A superior switch can be obtained from DigiKey: Nidec Copal #CUS-12TB for under $1. The handy can install it in a few minutes. Cut the red lead on the battery so you don't accidentally short things, gently remove battery, replace the switch, and reconnect the red battery lead. The LiPo battery can be replaced with any 3.7V 150ma or bigger. Current draw when on: 11ma. With some improvements by the user this drone strobe can be improved significantly. It's size and weight are its most important features

It’s a great light
It’s very bright and actually lasts 4 to 5 hours.
