Great shoes so far
Got these to replace a pair of hiking boots I had. I have had similar pairs in the past, just not the trail version. I wore them a handful of times to walk the dog, before using them for hikes in RMNP. I basically didn’t break them in and I had zero problems. I love that they are minimal, zero drop and have a wide toe box. They were true to size and very comfortable. I had no issues with feeling rocks or anything, through the sole. With my current pair of barefoot Inov8’s I workout in, that is a problem outside. Obviously this is a different application, but I wanted a similar fit and feel. I hope that they hold up well, because they’re exactly what I was hoping for

Great shoe!
Attractive, lightweight and definitely great for what I use them for. Whether it's the gym or walking a 5k every day, these shoes perform. If you aren't used to a minimalist shoe, ease yourself into it. No cushy treads here. You feel the trail like your foot was designed to. I now own three pairs.

Great shoe
This is by far the best version of the Trail Glove. Had the 4,5,6,7. This is by far the best version lasts the longest and has the best barefoot feel while still offering arch support. Merrill if you read this please don’t stop making them.

Comfortable to wear, larger toe box, More rigid soles than previous models.
Pros:Light weight, thin sole: The reason i buy, I love running semi-barefoot and this is why i love itLarger toe Box: The toe box is improved from the last one, doesnt sacrifice grip or traction for me.Stylish: I love the color scheme, i picked blue and grey.Reinforced section connecting sole to shoe: This seems stronger than previous versions. My last 3 trail gloves i owned my foot rubbed right through the fabric at the knuckle of my big toe. So far i havent noticed any wear (will update if this problem re-occurs.)Cons:Changing shape and design again: I'm habitual, I want one set of shoes that work and just keep sending me copiesmore rigid sole than previous models: I buy these because it feels like im running barefoot. But this version seems a little more supported, which for me; is the opposite of what i want. I just want protection and traction for my feet. that way my toes, calves and legs are doing all of the work.My Use: I am not a daily runner, I might run 2-4 miles a week. I use these shoes for casual wear, work(when i can), and running on pavement or light dirt pathways. I have been using Merrel Minimalist shoes since 2011. My only complaint is they discontinue older models and i have to keep changing shoe types when i'm comfortable with a design. I will note previous model issues since these are still in the early stages of ownership.

Good trail shoe for people with high arches - would not use it on extremely rocky trail
I started running again after long time away from the sport and my old Merrell barefoot shoes (4yo but used mostly for walking) would not last very long anymore if subjected to daily runs so I decided to invest in new Merrells. I like their shoes because I have wide feed with extremely high arches and it is hard for me to find shoes that fit. Also the weak point for me in every sport shoe I ever bought is padding at the back of the heel. In any other brand they pad too much and I typically rip that area to shreds in 6 months - Merrells are one brand for which it rarely happens - especially with barefoot shoes with low padding. First impression with Trail Glove 5 was that it was slightly too big (I wear size 11 and bought the same size) but then I realize that I need to be more careful lacing them - then they start "hugging" foot much better. They fit "like a glove" from day one.I run mostly on a trail through the woods - some exposed roots and few rocky areas and they do fine - amount of padding is about right. Soles have good grip too. If I was using them for very rocky terrain I would probably find another pair with slightly thicker soles.Update after 6 weeks. I usually cover 4-6 miles on trail or pavement. So far very light running and a lot of fast walking. I think that I may hit the durability issue a bit earlier than expected - since soles show some signs of wear. Other than that - no issues.

Fit great
These took almost two months to arrive. Other than that they fit great and are the most comfortable for my feet.

Tight around the mid foot
I wanted something to wear outside while working in the yard, but I cannot get over how odd the fit is for me. They're much tighter around the mid foot than I'm comfortable with and the contours for the arch support just feels odd for a minimalist shoe. I wish the toebox was a little wider too

I researched the best trail running shoe on the market before getting these
I wanted a trail running shoe with a roomy toe box and good arch support. I also wanted souls that would grip any surface from ice to mud without picking up debris. I wanted a shoe that I could be in and out of water and it would dry out on its own in time. The shoe can slip or be laced as tightly as anyone could want. I found it in an ultramarathon review of the best ultramarathon trail running shoes it was third. I wear a size 13 and it runs true to size as the 13 fit me perfectly. I wish these were available 40 years ago when I ran my first 100 miler. When I run they're so light and fit so well. I feel like I'm running and padded socks.

COMODIDAD GARANTIZADA
