The sharpness of the plate is pretty impressive. The plate size is good too. It works well with grinding garlic and tomatoes. Love the design and color too! Downside is it’s hand wash only, can’t really complain because it’s easy to clean without a dishwasher.

A fun practical utensil for shredding or grating garlic (and other things like ginger and turmeric). The first thing that impressed me was the simple silicone sleeve to roll the garlic cloves in to remove the husk. That little item is fantastic. Then you get to grate the garlic in the ceramic dish. This really brings out the full flavor of the garlic. I like garlic too season my crock pot roast and usually throw in 4 or 5 cloves... with this, you probably only need 2 shredded cloves. I saw a video where the user grated a couple cloves and poured a high quality extra virgin olive oil right in the dish and dipped his French bread in it. The dish is easy to clean with the included brush. The acrylic mini plate holder is cute, but I personally don't have a need for it. I purchased the blue plate, but there are so many colors and designs to choose from. Highly recommended for cooks.
