Asvel 7509 Rice Container Bin with Pour Spout Plastic Clear 2KG

For years many years I bought rice that was in a resealable bag for storage. Or, if I bought rice in a non-resealable bag, I would reuse the resealable bag for that rice. Many times I spilled the rice pouring it out of the bag into a measuring cup. Finally, I bought this storage container and I have been very happy with it. Not only does the container have a nice pour spout to prevent spilling when pouring but it also has a convenient easy removable lid that pops off and serves as a measuring cup. I feel that this container was designed by someone who knows what it's like to cook rice. One convenient container that solved a number of minor inconveniences. Brilliant!

Perfect size for one ..keeps rice in optimum condition... Measuring cup is a plus.... Great time on delivery will buy something again

I had been meaning to get this for quite some time, but always ended up in the save for later list. Finally did get and happy that I did. Grab it off the shelf, pour the rice in the measuring cup on top and then the water, dry the cup and back in the cupboard. No more spilling from the bag or making a trip for a measuring cup. I know these are not difficulties, it is just nice and easy -- convenient.

This unit does what it’s designed to do: hold rice, has a measuring cup lid that securely locks and one flat-bottomed side that makes the container stable when laid on its side. I failed to notice the length/height dimensions when I purchased it which is important because, with the lid on and placed on its side, the overall length is greater than the depth of an “average “ cabinet. So, unless you want this thing sitting on your counter (I do not) you are limited to the refrigerator or pantry as out-of-the-way storage options. Holds 4-5lbs of sushi rice, easy to clean and sturdily built.

Good rice contained with measuring cup

I lived in Japan for three years and when I saw this container and I saw the brand, I knew it was a quality product as I had purchased this brand before while living in Japan.I read the reviews and despite others saying the container should be modified because the bags of rice in the USA are 5lbs and in Asia they aren't, I bought it anyway because it's a good brand and the ounce difference wasn't a big deal as I would use 2-3 cups of uncooked rice every time I made rice.However when I was ready to fill the container I wasn't making rice so I thought the leftover rice could be put into a smaller container, but that wasn't nescessarry.As the container filled up, I put the lid on and continued to add the remainder of the rice thru the pour spout and tapped the container on my counter a few times and to my surprise, it took the full 5 lbs easily with room to spare.i would think this container would be great to store flour, sugar, beans, cereal and so much more.And I doubt the quality of this brand could be found in a dollar store item, as they have dollar stores in Japan where most of the the items cost 100 yen and I shopped there regularly and they did have quality items but to me this brand is more like a mix of our brands Rubbermaid and Tupperware.
