The only coffee I use
I used to spend $45/lb for single origin/estate grown Sulawesi Kolossi coffee, which I bought from a local coffee house here in Portland (No, not Starbucks, NEVER Starbucks!!!!) until I discovered Jim's Guatemalan Lake Atitlan – Single Origin medium roast coffee. Not only is it a fraction of the price, but the flavour is excellent, and the acidity is low. I use a Haribo v60 metal arm stand pour over, and this makes some of the best coffee I have ever had. It has been the only coffee I buy for several years now. I only just began buying it here on Amazon, because I no longer shop at the store that carried it, and the new store doesn't carry any Jim's Organic coffees.

Awesome four pourover
We normally do pourover or use our moka and We can say this is probably the best coffee. When you buy from a local roaster you know you are getting quality coffee , so buying from amazon you kind of get what you get. This coffee is so smooth and when you pourover bloom looks like a brownie you know its gonna be an awesome brew. Love this coffee 100%

Fresh tasting and smooth
The price was comparable to store price and I enjoyed drinking it. I like ordering beans to grind and the beans were fresh not dried out.

Overly Roasted beans
This coffee was advertised as being medium roasted coffee beans however the beans are very dark roasted. In fact overly roasted. The taste was good but had a burned after taste because of the over roasting issue. If these beans had been medium roasted, the taste would have been much better!

This is the best coffee I have found
Update late spring or early summer 2024: I am dropping my rating from five stars to three stars because after changing the roast to something lighter creating what is, to me, an undesirable flavor, and then maybe tweaking it to a little more roasted to where it was good, the last couple batches have not been up to par and I just discovered my last batch, not sure if this is the case with earlier shipments also, have substituted Colombian Huila coffee for the Santa Marta I have been buying for over nine years. I place my orders by phone, usually leaving a message, and no one let me know that they had changed the coffee; I happenned to notice it into my second bag of the shipment of six. Update no. 3: I see this particular source is available again--not sure when it became available again--I have asked them in a message last night--but they told me last year it might be available again early in 2025, so apparently it is. I will order some and see if it's the same as it used to be. This is the best coffee I have found after Publix Supermarket switched the supplier for their excellent Greenwise organic Colombian whole bean coffee to one that was far inferior. This Jim's Organic is very similar, maybe even a little more refined and more consistent in the quality of flavor than the previous Publix coffee, with a similar rich chocolatey flavor, although with a slightly higher roast. Fortunately, my local Publix gets the Jim's in for me regularly and it lately has been under $10 a bag and a little fresher than ordered through Amazon. Update: Aside from the chocolatey overtones, this coffee also has distinct notes of almonds, both in the freshly opened bag and the brewed coffee. I have been drinking this coffee for over 4 1/2 years now, and after getting a bad batch of six bags from Publix, which were on sale, about four years ago, which I returned (and I believe Publix stopped carrying it after that), I have been ordering it directly from Jim's Organic Coffee, six bags at a time. For those who may be wondering, when order directly from Jim's Organic, which is only a few dollars more expensive when ordering six bags to avoid shipping charges, the bags of coffee usually have about 11 months until expiration, so you can compare how fresh what you get is to how fresh it should or could be. Update: The last two batches of six bags I have gotten in the last month and a half have been somewhat stale or over-roasted, I'm not sure what, but they have a stronger, more bitter flavor most of the time, no matter how I grind or brew them. If this continues I will have to find another brand.
