Superb quality
We got our dark chocolate today. It was so well protected with an ice pack for proper delivery. Thank you so much for that. As for the chocolate, it was an unexpected surprise since this was our first try. We read a purchase review online & had to try it. Wow. Did not disappoint. So delicious. Not as strong as typical 70% dark chocolate. We are definitely happy customers. Thank you so much.

Imagine chocolate flavored sand
I am torn because I'm a huge fan of authentic, organic products and am one of those granola guys who're huge on whole foods, sustainability and wellness. Therefore, based on the Consumer Reports heavy metals report and the product description (no ditching etc), the die-hard dark chocolate fan in me decided to give this product a try. The flavor is interesting (lots of layers), but the texture is essentially like sand. So, in a nutshell, it's really like eating sand mixed with dark chocolate (as we traditionally know it). I would NOT recommend you get this product if you hope to actually enjoy eating it. Take it as medicine for all the great health benefits or for the experience, but there is zero pleasure in this and I will never buy it again. No regrets though. It was my decision. The product description isn't misleading. I, as a consumer, underestimated just how unrefined it would be. That's all. Unless you know what crude cacao feels and tastes like at the start of the production process, do NOT buy this product. You WILL regret it. 🤣

Pure chocolate flavor!
Love the pure chocolate flavor! It is a bit grainy because it's stone ground. Love to eat with some nuts as a snack. I have tried it in a vegan chocolate mousse (chocolate + water) and the graininess is still evident in the mousse. I have not tried to bake with it.

Interesting Chocolate
I bought this chocolate because its very low in toxic metals, a problem in dark chocolate these days. I LOVE that it is organic and sustainably sourced. I love the package and consciousness behind it. It has a peculiar texture, apparently from being stone ground, that I didn't like at first but that grew on me. I also like the flavor, which is more floral, complex and interesting than regular chocolate. I wouldn't buy another box, but I would buy it again. Its apparently more like Mexican chocolate which I've never tasted. I prefer smoother chocolate personally but liked this chocolate snd would recommend. I bought a large box and would recommend buying only one bar first to ensure you really like it. Others I gave it to said the same thing...interesting, good and unique but not their fav being used to more traditional smoother, less gritty chocolate. Im not sure if the grittiness has to do with the stone ground chocolate, sugar or both. Despite that, it dissolves well in ones mouth and has a unique less traditional flavor I liked and makes it very unique, probably more like what chocolate should taste like? Not sure but try it and decide for yourself. Its a well made product I hope lasts in the market place.

Best "SAFE" DARK CHOCOLATE I CAN FIND...... SO FAR
TAZA DELICIOUSLY DARK CHOCOLATE. I LOVE Green and Black's but it's not safe enough for me.So far, Taza is doing an adequate job. It's not G & B but it is SAFER and I am a chocolate Lover. The grit: I got use to it. The flavour: milder than G & B - . But over all, so that I'm not killing myself eating chocolate, it works. I'm sorry to learn about G &B chocolate because I really LOVED it and ate a lot of it. So much for that. GOOD LUCK in your CHOCOLATE SEARCH !!

Best dark chocolate I’ve ever tasted
Wow! I didn’t know what I was missing until I tried Taza’s unrefined, stone ground, organic chocolate. The flavor, freshness and quality really stand out, like trying fresh, artisan bread for the first time. I had this 10 minutes ago and have a lingering aftertaste where the mild sweetness intermingled with the rich chocolate flavor hints at cinnamon and raspberry, but it isn’t flavored. Those flavor notes are from the chocolate pods themselves. The stone ground texture is very even, like chewing ground hazelnuts (there’s no hazelnut flavor).I bought this after reading the Consumer Reports article on lead and cadmium in chocolate, where the Taza brand was the best rated organic dark chocolate for much lower traces of those metals.I’m hooked.

This taste like chocolate sand. And I mean, bad testing chocolate.
