Pushing Electrons: A Guide for Students of Organic Chemistry, 3rd

Had to erase a few pencil marks but for the price, I don't mind 😎

This was an optional text for my organic class. It starts with some very basic review, but by chapter 3 (there are 5 chapters total), it dives into topics that are very useful for organic. The book is tedious to complete. It seemed like I drew hundreds of benzene rings. But the repetition and review were helpful tools for remembering everything. If you have the patience to work through the exercises in this book, the concepts learned will be nice tools to have on your belt!

I bought it used so it had writing it in. Regardless my professor used the later edition, this was a cheap alternative. The concepts are still the same, this book gives examples and problems to help let students work though on their own for further learning. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn the concepts of Ochem of "pushing electrons!"

When I took Chemistry this book was super helpful

I bought this book to late in the year to get much help from it, but if I had bought it earlier it would have been helpful. Practice is key, and this book is full of practice problems!

This is an integral book for any student taking chemistry, it has been very helpful to me in reinforcing the fundamentals and showing me the intuitive way to approach chemistry problems.

This is an excellent guide to predicting how electrons are going to move during different organic reactions. It is more than just a study guide for your organic class. It shows you the basic structure of organic reactions and how they are much more than just memorizing equations. They are relationships between molecules.

Instructors for lecture often list this an optional book - it's okay and it has some exercises in it that you can do; however, if it's optional I would just skip it and use your text and online exercises - if you're using Wiley plus or something similar --and if you feel like you're struggling get in a study group for pete's sake.

It was decent study guide, but is better to just googled.
