Great value snood, quality item very warm

I have to state that I've never been a fan of wearing hats. I think it has something to to do with being made to wear an assortment of wacky home-knitted ones as a child (you know the type; huge baubles, tassels and ear flaps like Eeyore...) so I think I must have made a conscious decision as an adult NOT to wear them if at all possible! However, with adulthood came baldness, leading to a shaved head and the inevitable need to avoid looking ridiculous by NOT wearing a hat in Baltic weather. So, this hat. It's great! I have a variety of beanies these days and the main problem with the thick woolen variety is that they take ages to dry after being washed and can't be easily folded up and put in a coat pocket without making me look like I have a second belly (or a third moob...) This one, being made of micro-fleece, is well stitched together, lightweight and thin. It's just as warm as my much thicker hats and actually suits my ridiculously shaped head a little better. It's long enough to be pulled down completely over my ears and back of my neck, with just enough 'flop' on top to make me look like a middle-aged hipster (think 'David Beckham' rather than 'Noddy.') I like the mesh-covered heat reflective thermal panel on the inside of the hat and if you're not keeping your head toasty with it, it'll do nicely for keeping your take-away sausage rolls hot. Actually, you could probably do both... One of the best things about this hat is that it's easily washed at 30 degrees, can be tumble dried on a low heat setting and dries naturally in only a couple of hours. In fact, this was such a good buy that I'm planning to buy another one just like this so that I can wear them alternately.

Best gaiter I've had, is almost as warm as a thicker ski snood, but is so portable (it's been in my jacket pocket in use constantly, great for winter cycling when the buffs are insufficient, and being so thin yet so warm is incredible. I have paired this with the ear warmer and combination is unbeatable for what they do. Cannot recommend buying this enough if you're thinking of it

Thin, so it fits easily into a pocket. Stretches enough to cover the ears and lower head. The metalised lining cuts wind and adds more warmth than might be expected from the hat's light weight.

Image is not accurate, this is about 1/3rd of the size of the image (in height) it's more like an ear band in size, it's REALLY, REALLY small. It won't cover your neck and the image is not of this item unfortunately. Amazon returns was flawless as ever.

Awesome game changer wish I’d discovered neck gaiters before now especially this one highly recommend.
