This quiet book is a pleasure to read and a joy to look at the artwork. Born and raised in Maine, I bought this book for my granddaughter on Saint Thomas and her little friend whose parents are stationed far, far away. Every page invites exploration.

I recently purchased this book (locally) to save as a Christmas gift for my youngest son. I set it aside for a couple of days before reading it myself this morning. After reading, I have decided that I simply cannot wait another 4 months to share this beautiful book with both of my sons! This poetic love letter to Maine is truly moving, and the illustrations are incredible.Our family just returned to Maine after spending 4 years in Colorado during my husband's military service, and we are so happy to be back here. "At One: In a place Called Maine" perfectly describes the connectedness and calm that I feel here.Simply beautiful!
