All In

Great book! Love reading Mark. We used it to preach from and lead our church transformationally.

I have not read anything by this author that hadn’t touched my heart and this book did no different! So many quotable lines on each page. So many informative and uplifting stories to show believers that they are not alone and that some of the greatest of all time were believers too! He has a way with words that encourage, inspire, enlighten, and opens you up in ways like never before. I’m an artist and to do what I do requires BIG levels of faith and he has a way of helping me stay encouraged on my journey. His words are confirming and I feel closer to God as I walk my destiny path now. All in is the perfect way to describe me and I’m inspired and motivated to continue my journey going all in for the All in all. Can’t wait to read the next book!

Some of the chapters have more meat in them than whole books I've read.

If you want God to awaken you and get you back on a course where you feel alive every day, then this book will be a Game Changer for you. The Author is Mark Batterson. He is a Pastor in the DC area. I started with his 40 Day Prayer Challenge "Draw a Circle". Followed by Circle Maker. Then I read "In a pit with a lion on a snowy day". Then read Lion Chaser". This this book. These books have had more impact on my life than almost any other reading material. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I even give the books away. That good.

Mark Batterson makes a case for the fact that Christians often say they are following Jesus when they really are inviting Jesus to follow them. Many of us have “bought in” to Christianity but we haven’t “sold out.” Missionaries a century ago bought a one way ticket on board a ship when going to the mission field. And they each packed all their belongings in a coffin. They didn’t expect to return. Batterson says: “Jesus didn’t die to keep us safe. He died to make us dangerous.” (pg 13) All In is a challenging book with many stories and biblical examples of those who did go “all in”; totally committed and giving their all to Christ. As I read this book two songs came to mind – “I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no holding back” and “Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord to thee…” This book will inspire and teach us how to consecrate ourselves to Him and do everything for His glory.

I read the book in a very small amount of sittings. I couldn't put it down. I'm tempted to move to DC and switch churches. If he can disciple as well as he writes ✍️ . . . Great book!

Great, thought provoking read. Excellent examples that challenges your level of faith & causes you to reflect & grow in your relationship with God. Mark Batterson has a way of awakening a new hunger for growth & more of God like few others. He doesn’t disappoint with this one. Either we make the decision to go all on for Jesus or why bother. It’s decision time!

Solidly biblical, highly challenging and very inspirational. We did a group read with around 12 of us and there wasn't a single person who was not challenged and prompted in their walk with God to find and accomplish His purpose for them. The heart of the book is to encourage, inspire and push us Christians today to make that decision of surrendering our lIves on earth to the Lord and go all in for His puropse in our lives. It does it brilliantly.

This is a life-changing book that challenges you to dig deeper in your faith. It also challenges you to quit making excuses and do what God has called you to do. I highly encourage reading this book.

Such a good book, challenging but so encouraging. Mark is a good communicator, I have read one of his other books too. Excellent. Really recommend this and The circle maker.
