Amazon Basics Tactical Folding Pocket Knife, Stainless Steel with Premium Wooden Handle for Hunting, Camping, Survival, Outdoor and Everyday Carry

I bought one of these knives after my son showed me his. It was surprisingly well made for the price. Very sharp out of the box and held its edge well. I used it daily for work (and I can be rough on pocket knives). I say "used" because I inadvertently left it on a jobsite and lost it. I hope Amazon Basics brings it back, I'd but a few more just to keep around.

I really wasn't expecting much when I ordered this knife for about $8.35. An Amazon Basics branded "tactical" knife (LOL), and I bought it for that reason alone. It seemed almost like a joke, considering all of the other Amazon Basics branded items available that aren't tactical knives (such as USB drives, towels, staplers, bedding, yoga mats, dinnerware sets, etc). For the price, I was expecting some laughable excuse for a knife, however I was quite wrong. The knife is heavy duty and locks up nicely. The quality is as good as a brand name $20-$25 folding liner-lock knife from a sporting goods store. I have no idea what kind of steel the blade is made from, but I judge it to be as good as similar S&W branded knives that I own. The fit of the metal parts to the wood handle panels are well fitted. Overall the blade feels heavy duty and locks up with a satisfying smooth click that you would expect from a knife that costs a lot more. Overall this is a great basic knife to throw in a toolbox, an inexpensive EDC that you aren't afraid to lose, or to just keep in a collection as a uniquely branded knife.

Pretty cool looking tanto blade knife with pocket clip. The wood handle feels nice, the blade is sharp, and the short serrated part works nicely on paracord. At 5 oz (150 g) a bit too heavy for EDC but it's a nice to have knife for the glove box, tool box, and kitchen drawer.

A pocket knife has always been an essential since I was a kid growing up in the country. This is my second purchase of this knife, having lost the first one on a job. The quality is great. It opens and closes easily (for me. A little difficult for my wife’s small hands), holds an edge, and a good size for a man. I’m disappointed that the price has increased so much since I bought the first one, but it’s still a good buy.

Love this thing. Just the right size. The serrated section is perfect to break down boxes that need binned. The main knife blade is just right for many uses. Would have preferred a drop point blade vice a tanto. But it works very well for EDC. Smooth action and good lock up. Great value and well made.

For how cheap this is, it's not terrible. It opens easily with one hand and fits comfortably in the grip. My only real complaint is that the keeper spring is kinda loose, so it'll start to open just from shaking it, rather than having to use your thumb... might be a safety issue. I would think twice before carrying it in the pocket if I was going to be running a lot or bouncing around. But in a bag or some sort of case? It's decent for the money.

Nice knife especially if you're on a budget it has a really cool wooden handle and it's very sharp I thought it would be kind of cheap since it's a generic Amazon brand from amazonbasics but it's my favorite knife that I've had in a couple years and I carry it everyday and it does the job be careful it's pretty Sharp it comes out pretty much razor sharp out of the box only thing I dislike about it would be the balance is a little bit off because of the wood handle but it makes up for it and comfort and ease-of-use the action is a little stiff out of the box but give it a couple days or even a week or two and it'll be opening like a flash in no time

This knife has a solid weight and looks great. For what you pay this is an excellent knife to add to your collection. Worth buying a few at the price.

Ist Schwer und Robust so wie ein Messer es sein soll . Und auch noch Günstig, Da hat Amazon sich wirklich Mühe gegeben ich liebe das Messer und das Schöne Holz einfach zum Dahin schmelzen . Plus eine Hülle (bei der Hülle hatte ich keine Probleme damit ,dass sie Einbischen Größer ist als dass Messer selbst ist , weil wenn sie zu eng wäre könnte man das Messer schwer rausholen . Aber ansonsten nervt mich der Klettverschluss ein wenig weil der nicht immer gleich haften will aber ansonsten mein Fazit : wer dieses Messer besitzt der wird auch bei den Yakuza Seinen Platz finden können!

Was gefällt mir an dem Taschenmesser? + Das Design mit dem Holzgriff + Schön scharf + Kleine Fläche zum Sägen + Hosenhalterung + Praktisch für unterwegs + Gute, handliche Größe + Liegt auch gut in der Hand + Tasche mit Schlaufe zur Befestigung am Gürtel Was gefällt mir weniger an dem Taschenmesser? - Gut, ich bin technisch nicht so versiert, doch wir haben alle in der Familie (auch Männer) mehrere Minuten benötigt, um zu verstehen, wie man das Messer wieder zusammenklappt. Dazu muss man im Klingenfach seitlich gegen dieses geriffelte Blech drücken. Eine wie auch immer geartete, kurze Beschreibung wäre hier natürlich schon toll. Die gibt es allerdings nicht. - Der Bereich der Säge ist eher ein optisches Gimmick, denn eine Säge. Dieser Bereich ist 2,5 cm breit, da würde man sich einen Wolf sägen, wollte man das Taschenmesser als Säge benutzen. Fazit: Das Taschenmesser sieht gut aus und ist sehr praktisch. Es ist scharf und gerade für unterwegs, um beim Picknick Käse oder ähnliches zu schneiden ideal. Auch zum Schnitzen lässt es sich gut verwenden. Durch die Klemmhalterung für den Hosenbund lässt es sich auch sehr angenehm und einfach mitnehmen. Durch die mitgelieferte Tasche lässt es sich über eine Schlaufe allerdings auch so am Gürtel einfach mitnehmen. Die Sägefläche ist allerdings eher ein optisches Gimmick und eine Kurzanleitung – sehr kurz – wäre toll, damit man sich beim Ausprobieren und Zuklappen nicht verletzt.

木製ハンドルの面取りが雑過ぎる。削り過ぎたり足りないので、ハンドルの金属部分とラインが一致していません。 また、ネジ穴を深く掘り過ぎている為、木製ハンドルをを固定するネジが1ミリ近く飛び出ている状態です。 これなら木製ではなく、ハンドル材は樹脂製の方が良いと思います。 ナイフの機能については、値段以上だと思います。半波刃のタントブレードは箱出しの状態でも鋭く、曲線が少ないので初心者でも研ぎ易そうです。（刃持ちについては未検証のため何とも言えませんが。） 尚、ロック機構ですが、一般的なライナーロックでは有りますが、価格的に初心者向けを志向するのであれば、ナイフの取り扱いに関する説明書を添付する方が良いと思います。
