Walnut Grove Slide-in Certificate Plaque and Document Holder (Satin Black)

I have bought about 8 of these already (if not more). They are really nice, quality plaques. Worth the price. I would highly recommend. I like that you can easily slide in what you need to frame.

I bought this Walnut Grove plaque to display a certificate, and overall, I'm pleased with the purchase, though it does come with some caveats: Appearance: The satin black finish gives the plaque a very professional and elegant look, ideal for displaying certificates or documents. It adds a touch of class to any space. Installation: Sliding in standard printer paper or thin certificates is a breeze, taking mere seconds. However, if you're dealing with thicker parchment or diploma papers, be prepared for a bit of a challenge. The gap for insertion is quite narrow, and you need to be careful not to damage your document. I'd recommend sliding it in from the vertical side, as noted by another reviewer, to avoid any potential rips. Durability: The plexiglass front is a point of concern. While it looks good, it feels a bit cheap and brittle. I've noticed it can scratch easily, and there's a slight risk of cracking if not handled gently. The corner pegs that hold the glass in place seem flimsy, which might not inspire confidence in long-term durability. Versatility: This plaque is designed for wall hanging; there's no stand included. If you need to display it on a desk or shelf, you'll need to purchase a separate frame easel or stand. I used felt pads on a metal easel from a craft store to prevent scratching. Value: At the price point, this plaque offers a good deal compared to similar products from specialty stores. It looks professional and is well-made for its cost, but the materials used could be of higher quality. Conclusion: If you're looking for an affordable, stylish way to showcase your certificates, this plaque does the job. Just be mindful of the installation process with thicker documents, and handle the plexiglass with care. It's not perfect, but for the price and appearance, it's a solid choice for wall-mounted displays.

Easy to use...just insert the certificate inside the cover and it's perfect. Looks great too!

It’s very easy to get the certificate or paper inside the plastic, but there is absolutely nothing to keep it in place. If the frame moves slightly, the paper slides out. I had to hot glue on single dot on the end to keep the plastic from letting the paper escape. The frame looks very cheap in person and since it doesn’t securely hold the certificate, it’s a waste of money. I should’ve bought a different one.

It was perfect for an awards ceremony. It is sturdy, made of good quality. Highly recommend. I purchased the black finish.

I rarely leave review for any items I bought from Amazon, but I felt I need to leave a decent review for this certificate frame. First, if you are framing up regular printer papers (i.e. letter of recommendations), the installation process is seamless, as it took only 10 seconds for me to slide it in, and the instructions of how to insert the certificate were even written on the box/packaging. HOWEVER, if you are trying to frame up certificate (i.e. diploma/license parchment), the installation process is an absolute pain. It took me around 30 mins just to slide in the certificate using the same technique when I did when I inserted the regular size paper. It is because the thickness of the paper which causes the problem, the gap on the top and side are only easily accessible by regulars paper thickness. Any type of certificate paper/license parchment will cause a problem when you try to slide into this frame. So I gave one star for easy to use but I am overall satisfied with my purchase, as it doesn't feel like those frames you can get at 99c store, it feels decent and professional when I completed the installation. It did get scratched easily because it has a plastic front, not a glass one. However, my recommendation is once you insert the certificate, don't try to remove it as you will need to experience the same painful process to get the certificate out of that tiny gap. Also, since the bottom slide was not sealed off (unlike the other slide in frame I have), the certificate might fall off during natural cause/gravity in the long run when you hang the frame up on the wall. They said the static will hold the certificate inside but I will believe it once I see it myself in the long run. Overall, it is a good frame, but if you will constantly need to replace the certificate/picture/diploma into another frame, don't use this one, just get those Tr***nic ones at 99c store, it will save you time, money (this one causes $20+) and trouble. Once you insert into this frame, have it stays there for an eternity.
