More power than I expected!
Reading the reviews that 'this is just a powered broom' and 'don't expect too much from this' I had low expectations. I have invested in several Ryobi power packs so I thought adding this accessory would be worth the riskTo my delight, turning on the power to the blower made quick work of the garage. While it doesn't have the force of a gas-powered blower, it is also much more convenient. I made quick work of the garage floor (maybe 1-2 minutes), easily a fraction of the time it would have taken with a push broom.Turning the blower to my (short) driveway, it quickly cleared pine needles, leaves, twigs, escaped mulch, and some flower blossoms from a bush. It has good push and provided the power I needed.I bought this to clean grass clippings from the road and curb area (my neighbor is a stickler and I'm tired of him pointing out my clippings to me). I'm sure it will work fine for me for this, but I'm pleased to know that it can also make short work of my garage and driveway. I'll sweep more often (and feel better because of it) because I have this product.Notes on batteries: I do have some older nicad Ryobi batteries from an old drill/driver. These do not work with this blower (they fit, but the unit won't turn on). I used the larger of the two Ryobi sizes (higher storage capacity) LiOn batteries and the unit is still light. I wouldn't have second thoughts about passing this to my 8 year old to use in a chore.

Awesome for what it is...
I have a strong electric leaf blower that runs on mains (extension cords) and I needed something cordless for the quick clean up in between... and this blower is awesome for that!I have a bunch of ONE Plus tools and 2 NiCAD batteries... for this leafblower I bought a Li-Ion battery set (charger and the smaller / thinner Li Battery)...First of all, it does work with the NiCAD batteries. They have to be fully charged and they drain pretty quick, but I was able to clean out the garage and the patio on a full NiCad charge.Talking about the garage. This is perfect for cleaning out the garage, because it's strong enough to clean but not as strong as to cause havoc (which my plug-in blower would).I've been able to blow leaves and dirt... just cleaning up around the house... didn't really run into any problems...it's basically a lot quicker and easier than using a broom. Will this replace a full blown heavy duty blower? No... but it does a nice job for what it is: a cordless blower for "spot cleaning"...Much like a cordless vacuum it doesn't replace the big plug-in vacuum, but if you just have to clean up a corner this is the perfect choice for the job!

I like it for the price
It's just like everyone else has said, it doesn't make much noise, it doesn't work well moving anything off the grass, but it does clear the sidewalks quickly and neatly. You need a lithium battery or two to get a decent run-time, but if you don't horse around and just focus on paved areas, it's well worth the purchase. It looked and worked like brand new out of the box. No joke. Every reconditioned product from CPO I've purchased has been great, looks and works like new. Not a scratch. Buying through Amazon is handy as it has let my Amazon Christmas money pay for my new toys too!One thing they could do to make this a better product is to change the on/off switch. It's a toggle switch, so it's either on (at highest speed) or off. If it had a variable on/off switch, like the leaf vac made by the same company (Ryobi) then you could conserve the battery life, as you don't need it at high speed all the time. Slowing it down some would make it work easier sometimes too!If you already have other 18 volt cordless Ryobi products, this makes a nice addition to you stuff!

Lightweight!
We have other Ryobi tools we use with the same batteries. Because they work so well, we decided to order this as well. I love it because it's not too heavy (like other leaf-blowers we've owned in the past), so it's easy to use, even for a long period of time. I highly recommend having multiple batteries so you can swap them out, as they do take a little while to charge (much faster than for them to drain while in use). Actual use time varies, but we generally get about 30 minutes of use out of each battery when using the leaf-blower.

I'm in love again
Lightweight as promised. Blows grass, bugs, and nuts (thousands of them) off my front porch and driveway. Lasts five to ten minutes of continuous use. Simple on-off switch, and the battery comes off easily for recharging.I am very pleased. My back is very grateful. And it even arrived more than a week early! What more can I ask? Another winner in the Ryobi group of tools using an interchangeable battery. I have the tiny chain saw and I love it. I have the weed whacker and I love it. Now I have the blower and I'm in love all over again.

Strong blower
I read the reviews on this Blower after my purchase and was a little nervous that I may have to return it as reviewers stated the blower wasn't very powerful-not even powerful enough to blow leaves. i am very happy with the blower it blows leaves and small rocks just fine. I did make the mistake of putting the wrong battery in the blower as we have several ryobi products/batterys and I did experience a very sluggish low power blowing action. So I think the other reviewers should make sure they have the correct battery for this product before reviewing. The blower does eat up the battery and I would like the option to plug in but I am not overthinking this product. It does the job intended well, and that is what I am reviewing.

You get what you pay for!
I bought this for my yard. I know I know......you get what you pay for. I have an uncommon circumstance with the biggest tree in my yard being a VERY old Maple tree........this thing can hardly blow several leaves out of the way. Normal circumstances I'd say EH, this may work for you. Be sure you can deal with a mediocre force of BLOW..........NOW for blowing out the garage of dust, sawdust, leaves or even getting my charcoal to start on fire faster? You need this! :-)
