Winco Sieves, 12-Inch, Stainless Steel

I use this for "mashed" potatoes (after using a potato ricer on them). Works well. Satisfied with the purchase.

Very good, very nice, used it to sieve and nothing larger than the holes in the screen went though.

This is great and I use it a lot but I do wish I’d sized down for my space.

Tamis are rare in home kitchens, but you would be surprised how convenient they are to use. Not until working in a fine-dining kitchen did I even know what these were, but it only took one use to realize that I needed one for my home kitchen. Pass a sauce or dip (like hummus) through a device like this and you'll be amazed at how smooth the finished product tastes. This will allow you to easily remove bean skins from hummus and bean dip, separate tomato skins from red sauces, and render vegan milks and creams silky smooth. If you are serious about cooking, this is a must-have tool.

I attended a cooking class and the chef used this type of strainer. It was love at first sight. It has small holes that makes it ideal for rice. In my case I also make for mash potatoes. I bake the potatoes conserving the full taste and them use this strainer to mash it. The results are creamy mash potatoes! I also use it to make gnocchi. Very versatile.

This sieve has worked fantastic! Seems a bit fragile, but I wash it by hand to ensure longevity of it. Worth what you pay for :)

This screen is 12" diameter and quality stainless screen that could be a bit tighter in frame. One stainless wire was poking out at the edge which I snipped off best I could otherwise it could poke your finger. Happy with purchase overall as it's priced right compared to other 12" sieves at $100.

Didn't say mesh size before I ordered it in. It was 20mesh
