Tastes much better if you freeze it first. Then once completely frozen just slit the flat end of the tube and you can squeeze it out and eat it just like a freeze pop. Only bad thing is it just comes in this one flavor.

Will it help with not getting ingrown hairs?

Unfortunately if you are prone to ingrown hairs nothing much is going to solve that. This WILL make your shave a little easier because the gel seems to lubricate better than a foam. Ingrown hairs though it's not going to help.

is it as effective if used to shave body/chest, or do i need gels exclusively made for body?

I use it to shave my balls. Works great.
