A Must-Have for Solo Gamers Who Love Marvel and Strategy
As someone who often plays solo, Marvel Champions has been an absolute gem. The game is designed with solo play in mind—each hero feels unique, and the modular villain system keeps things fresh and challenging every time. Whether you're taking on Rhino for a quick match or diving into a longer battle with Ultron, the experience is consistently engaging and rewarding. The core set includes five heroes and three villains, offering plenty of variety right out of the box. The deck-building is intuitive but deep, and the game scales beautifully whether you're playing solo or with others. The production quality is excellent, with vibrant artwork and clear components. If you're a Marvel fan or just love strategic card games that respect solo players, this is a fantastic investment.

Worth the wait
Really engaging game, quite complicated at first to get to grips with everything as it's super detailed but once you get the hang of it there's loads of different tactics and creative ways to play it. You'll need patience at first but if you're a fan it's worth bearing with!

Superb game - great value
I got this for £25 which is super value. The game is excellent with very decent lifespan although you probably won't be able to help buying additional packs. It works brilliantly solo and also at lower player counts. The cooperative nature of it works really well and there is plenty of puzzle around choosing the best actions. The theme is really fun, of course. If you have read about it and it appeals to you, I'm sure you can't go wrong here.

A great LCG that I’d recommend to all
I have played 4 solo games and have enjoyed everyone even though I’ve not won every game. It’s not a problem as part of the game is making your own decks but to play with iron man or she hulk you have to take apart the captain marvel starter deck meaning you can’t play it with them. They do give you an alt list for captain marvel though

Deal some retaliatory damage
If you enjoy the Core set of Marvel Champions, you will inevitably want to get more character packs. I'm by no means an expert at the deck building component of this game yet, but I certainly found Cap to be a useful Hero for his retaliate ability, meaning that whenever you take damage, you deal some out too - always useful to bring that Villain HP down quicker (deals with Minions pretty quickly too). The packaging, although not eco-friendly, is very serviceable for carrying around cards (and tokens), as it clasps shut again snuggly. Might be useful if you intend to take your Hero to a gaming session with friends.I've since found a better average price of ~£9.99 elsewhere from specialised table-top gaming stockists on the internet, so don't be drawn in to buying these hero packs for the £14.99 they're usually listed at.Cap is one of the first wave of Heroes released (pre Rise of The Red Skull expansion), and comes with a nice mini-poster on the back of his player guide sheet that comes included. Well worth recruiting to your team.

A lot of game play in one box.
There is quite a lot of rules overheard and upkeep between rounds that is challenging initially but becomes easier with experience. The game flows really nicely once you pick it up.There is a bunch of content, 5 heroes, 3 villains to play at 2 difficulty levels. Not to mention the customization of the decks. There is hours and hours of entertainment here - you would only need to splash into new hero of villain packs if they interest you.My only criticism is that the game drags a little beyond 2 players. It's really best at 3 max in my opinion.

Great game - Especially for Marvel Fans
This is really fun game to play, especially for Marvel Fans. I would say that the fact it is a game based entirely around the marvel universe and the characters it probably carries the game slightly, but would highly recommend.Great game to play by yourself or with 2-max 3 players. Above 2 players does slow the game down considerably.Slightly confusing to begin with, however, after a few plays you get the hang of the game and it is really enjoyable. It is also worth noting that this core set is great value for money, with a ton of scenarios and replay ability.
