Very quiet and still powerful enough

After I ordered this hundred dollar fan I kicked myself: what was I thinking? How can a fan be worth $100, no matter how good the reviews were? However, now I am a convert. This fan circulates air like no fan I have ever owned. It is no bigger than a normal fan, but magically circulates all of the air in my small house, no lie. Before the Vornado, my house was stuffy and funky when I came home. Now it is nice and breezy. And when I’m really hot from doing housework, I just sit down and aim that sucker right at me, turn it on high, and it’s like heaven! Very worth it, the most awesome fan I have ever used in my 50 years on earth.

Currently in dorms. Bought since air movement in room isn't very good. Unsure if because ceiling is to high but takes a bit to feel it circulate. Speed 1 is almost completely quiet and 2 is a little loud but not as loud as some other fans such as my tower fan. Would be very effective if pointed directly at you. For the price it is pretty decent. Has a metal piece for the pivoting. Which is much nicer than the standard plastic clickers. Rest of fan is plastic ( blades, blade housing, speed control, and base) I can't give it a 5 out of 5 due to in the dorm with high ceilings the air will move but not very quickly.

THE VORNADO 160 is absolutely perfect for sitting behind the ps5 and sucking away the heat. With its sliding mount instead of a big plastic base it has nothing to block the heat …it is perfect. On a low setting it is just about silent and on really hot days the high setting is only a bit louder but cannot be heard when using the tv. It is perfect for ps5. I used a rubber shim inserted into the slid to keep it from ever moving unless i want it to. It is a good looking fan and uses the vornado shape to suck that heat away. The performance is great and it literally blows the heat from ps5 to the other side of the room and i can attest to that because it blows behind my tv all the way to my doorway and i can feel that heat when i walk through the door. I keep my ps5 extremely clean and use this vornado fan on some of the games that really make the ps5 work. Using an infrared thermometer the vornado fan definitely helps control what heat is around my ps5.

I just replaced my 6 in. Vornado fan after 15 years of continued 24/7 usage. I rarely turned it off. I use it for low white noise and extra air movement in my bedroom. The low setting is totally quiet. It’s the perfect small fan. The only thing that would make it better is if it came in more contemporary colors. Black also shows the dust so easily.

This fan moves a lot of air. If you use this in tandem with an AC, you are guaranteed to have a nice cool room. Even without the AC it works well.

We recently stayed at an adorable air BNB that had a vornado fan and we were immediately in love with the strong wind and quiet sound. So when my favorite little fan broke last week I knew which brand of fan I wanted to try out! I ordered this one which is smaller and less powerful than the one we had at the BNB BUT it's still amazing. It offers a cool strong wind and it's pretty quiet even on the highest setting. I also love that it is adjustable as well being small and compact.

This is the second Vornado Personal Air Circulator I've purchased from Amazon. I have been pleased with the size, cooling and noise level of the first personal Vornado. I have two regular size as well. This fan appears to be a used and/or returned item. It was in a sealed plastic bag, the cord was loosely wound around the base, there is white residue from some type of sticker on the top and there is a streak mark on the top as well. The fan blades seem to work to circulate air and the two speed choices work. I am disappointed at receiving a used/returned item because I want to place it in a guest room for use on hot summer days and nights. My guests are coming soon so there is not time to return it.
