Can be substituted for cooking oil
I substitute Bacon Up for cooking oil in almost all of my recipes! No more frying bacon! It gives a unique, but not overpowering, flavor!

Bacon up
Hard to get excited about bacon grease, but my spouse is from the south and bacon grease from cooking down bacon is always saved for flavoring other dishes and we ran out one time. So I said check on Amazon! Sure enough Bacon Up is exactly what we were looking for and it has exceeded our expectations for cooking. Its purified so it's lily white but delivers bacon flavor just like you just fried up a pound of bacon. So no dirty eggs or burnt bacon bits floating around. Healthwise I'm sure this is a healthier choice for you than margarine or any of the common household or restaurant use seed oils that are all omega 6 based, with lower smoke points. There are bacon flavored/ infused olive oils on the market (Olive Creek makes a good one), but again the higher smoke point of this product makes it ideal for frying and flavoring a batch of green beans and potatoes! So it's good for greens, peas, breakfast, and just about anything that would taste better with bacon! It's a staple in our kitchen as we have reordered it now several times

Great product
This is a very nice tub of clean bacon grease. It's great that it can sit on the counter or in the cupboard, vs having to be refrigerated. Adding this to my non stick fry pan keeps our over medium eggs from sticking to fry pan. I was ready to try ANOTHER brand of fry pan but now I will not need to..

actually, the value for your $ is great
I don't bother to review every single item I get through Amazon, but this one deserves a mention. I've recently become an avid baker, and I was looking for a substitute (or something even better) for butter/lard/shortening in recipes. At some point, it occurred to me that bacon grease would be an awesome thing to use, even in non-savory recipes. So I went ahead and purchased a pound of bacon, with the sole intent of rendering the grease from it (I did, of course, eat the bacon as well). For the people saying "this stuff is too expensive": the 14-ounce container of Bacon Up was about $13. The pound of bacon I purchased was about $6.50. After cooking the entirety of the bacon, I recovered about a half-cup of grease. So, about 4 ounces by volume. (and of course, there was the added bonus of having plenty of bacon to eat!) Also, I should point out that I cooked the bacon in a high-sided baking pan, starting in a cold oven, etc. All the steps necessary for Maximum Grease Collection. It would seem that I'd have to purchase (and cook) slightly more than three pounds of bacon, to obtain 14 ounces of grease, at a cost of over $20. Not to mention the time, effort, and cleanup involved when cooking bacon. Or, I can spend 13 bucks on this stuff. So far, I've used Bacon Up in several types of yeast bread, with consistent and delicious results. I've also used it in my lemon pound cake, in place of SOME of the butter (about 20%), and it is amazing. I have also begun using it (again, in place of about 50% of the butter or oil) for sauteing vegetables for soup base, or mushrooms for topping pizza or steak. Perhaps ironically, I haven't used it for frying eggs yet, but I definitely will.

Bacon grease for the lazy cooks out there. Good Stuff Man 👍🏼
It is bacon grease. Good taste and melts down quickly in the pan and in the container unless you refrigerate it. I don’t refrigerate mine but whether liquid grease or solid grease it does what it is supposed to do. Adds flavor and adds a nice nonstick coating to the pan. I also use it for most of my cooking and not just steak or chicken but burgers and hotdogs and even pastas like mac & cheese, Alfredo and even some hamburger helper box meals.

Excellent product for the serious cook.
Excellent product if you’re looking for flavor and keto friendly food. A bit Pricey, but so is bacon! I’ll use it sparingly and use my home rendered bacon grease for gravy, etc.
