Is this full spectrum like the other products?

The botanical components, the ginkgo, the gotu kola and bacopa are extracts. They're typically stronger than "full spectrum" which has some wobble in the meaning but typically means containing the whole plant or herb or mushroom, as opposed to extracts which whether water or alcohol extracted or both, contain some portion of the chemicals found in the whole herb/shroom, but typically with higher concentrations of the chemical constituents thought to be accountable for the desirable effects. Here, the mushrooms are "full spectrum" mycellium and not extracts. That means they're going to be much weaker than extracts of mushrooms. The mycelium-only approach is one Stamets likes but some disagree with. He holds that mushroom mycellium, the first growth stage, offers the full spread of chemicals found in the fruiting body, the grown mature mushroom. It's faster and yields more product to just harvest mycellium. I personally would only bother taking extracts of mushrooms because whole herb or mushrooms rarely have any effect on me; extracts are always stronger. I would use an extract of mycellium though, and I'd rank that right under an extract of fruiting bodies, with "full spectrum" supplements containing simply dried mushrooms or mycellium to be much weaker than either type of mushroom extract. Host Defense mostly offers just dried mycellium products, however if you check the label carefully you will find two products they make, perhaps more, that are dual extracts of mushroom mycellium. Whether that means hot water then alcohol or cold water then hot, I don't know, but whatever it is, it's stronger than these just dried mycellium products. Good hunting; focus on Host Defense's liquid extracts, the ones in the dropper bottles.

Does this help with word-finding capability and focus?

This product is great for focus. I took it everyday for 3 months, then I took it every other day. Now I take it 1-3 times per week, unless I’m under a great deal of stress and not getting enough sleep. In that case I take it daily. It helps tremendously with focus! As far as word recall, I’d have to say yes, because of increased clarity. I hope this helps.

How quickly does this product work? When can I expect results?

For me it started immediately.... depends on person I think some people will be slower..... but I have had brain issues due to a concussion and the neurotransmitters have been damaged on the right side of my brain so I have been doing my best to find something that will help me with memory, understanding of others, even speaking due to now am stuttering and this product has helped in all of that. drs have said its just a slow process of regeneration of the brain and along with having diabetes 2, that makes healing even slower... I am also taking an energy vitamin from Host Defense and that helps as well.

Brain fog gone in two weeks!

2 a day keeps the fog away! Just finishing up my first bottle. I have noticed memory improvement, and have more energy. I tried the Stonehenge brand (very expensive) and actually find this brand is better priced and has a more noticeable "kick". Ordering my second bottle and will continue to order monthly.
