I recently purchased this nail dehydrator and primer for doing my friends’ nails, and it has made a huge difference, especially for Gel-X applications. Bought this months and months ago to use for press-ons but never used it. Fast forward to today. I’ve been using nail oil and my nails are too moisturized for nail polish to stay on past 1-2 days now. The whole nail of polish slides off in one piece, one nail after another. So, I get the idea to use this. I’m not using a gel nail polish BUT I can already tell that my polish is staying on much better than it was before. I couldn’t try to pick it off right now even if I wanted. However, I underestimated the smell and may have gotten a little high off it. Not sure but felt a little woozy and have a slight headache. My fault, I was not in a well-ventilated room. Hoping it wasn’t the primer but just a heads up for others to note and be mindful of. I’m rating the dehydrator and primer a 5-star!

I'm not sure why these work, and others don't for me. when you get down to it dehydrator is basically just acetone. The primer provides a tacky layer for better grip. It's a mystery to me, but these work. I've tried many. my nails are -very ridged, dry and brittle, when wet i can bend the nail backwards, and yet they produce a lot of oils which make a lot of nail polishes barely last (maybe a day before the edge nearest the cuticle starts peeling) I almost never paint my natural nail. it's too ridged and always looks bad. What I do is apply fake nails, (usually an extra short coffin shape, really like the gel x style tips). now because of of the way my natural nails are, even uv cured nail glue doesn't like lasting long, again maybe getting 2 days before lifting starts occurring. That's where this product comes in, I lightly file with 100 grit nail file, to help scratch the nail top up for better adhesion, then I apply 2 coats of the dehydrator letting it soak in/dry quickly before each one, then I apply a 1 layer of the adhesion primer, let it dry (it will be tacky so don't let it touch anything, its a fuzz attractor), then apply the fake nail and cure under UV light for 90 seconds. my fake nails now stay on for weeks, average is about 2 weeks before lifting edges start. but even then they stay on so well, even if an edge near the cuticle starts lifting, the nail has stayed on for another 2 weeks, and I still have to soak them off usually, doesn't happen often but they do give out sooner and pop off, but way way way less then ever before and it's usually because I rushed and didn't prep as well. (a total of 4 times a nail popped off prematurely, one time within 2 days, this is rare with good prep and not rushing.) By biggest dislike, the primer bottle is really hard to open sometimes, I imagine this is because the primer gets around the bottle top and kind of glues it shut. it's not a deal breaker, just annoying. I keep these stored in the box they came in, I like the insert that holds them in place, and I'm less likely to misplace them or accidentally throw them away. amount in each bottle lasts a good long time. It doesn't take much for each nail to coat. So even over a year later I still have quite a bit left. (I know what I'm buying when I need more) I feel some people mistake this as needing to be uv cured, the primer is not UV cured, it's just air dried, and will feel like it doesn't dry completely, it's suppose to stay tacky, it's an adhesive (keyword) primer. Dehydrator has s strong smell (it's basically straight acetone) , use in well ventilated area, primer doesn't really smell.

This product is exactly what I needed. Since I started using the dehydrator and base, my polish lasts much longer without peeling. Easy to apply, no strong smell, and the bottles last a long time. Perfect for personal or professional use. I would definitely buy it again.

I bought this because I really like their gel polish with great results. Unfortunately their primer doesn’t seem to work on me. After about 3-4 days I start feeling that lifting sensation on the tips of my real nails (I don’t use tips or powders just gel polish). By the next day my gel polish is no longer stuck to my nail and peels right off. I will say if I wanted to change my nail color every few days to a week this would be perfect for me, sadly I’m a crafter as well as a home baker and just can’t risk my polish falling in cookie dough lol.

This is my first time using a primer and dehydrator. Although i didn’t pair these products with other Modelones products it seemed to work just as good. For the first time my nails stayed put and i didn’t get any lifting.

Prepares the natural nail for adding nail extensions. Definitely recommend.

Too complex with all the steps for polygon nails to do on my own. I would just rather pay a lot of money to have it done for me.
