Perfect treat for moderate chewers!
Awesome product! My dog loves them and one bone will last a couple of days! I do the microwave trick when there's about an inch left. Doesn't splinter but there are small little pieces that come off.

Juggie Likes It!
I wanted to share our wonderful experience with the Devil Dog Pet Co Yak Cheese Himalayan Dog Chew. Our English Bulldog, Juggernaut (or Juggie for short), absolutely adores these chews, and I must say, they have been quite a game-changer in his chewing habits. As any Bulldog owner knows, these furry friends have powerful jaws that can make short work of even the toughest doggie bones. In Juggie's case, a regular bone often lasts no more than a day. However, the Himalayan Dog Chew has proven to be a different story altogether. These chews have demonstrated impressive staying power, lasting several weeks in service to our Juggernaut. What's truly remarkable is how these chews hold up even against his powerful chewing. When it eventually wears down to the last bits, I've found a clever solution to ensure a satisfying finish for our beloved Juggster. A quick pop in the microwave and it puffs up, offering him a delightful final stage of chewing enjoyment. One aspect that I find particularly commendable is the chew's impact on Juggie's digestive system. Bulldogs can be sensitive in that regard, but I'm pleased to report that the Himalayan Dog Chew doesn't upset his stomach. This gives us peace of mind as responsible pet owners. Now, let's consider both sides of the coin: Pros: Durable Enjoyment: The exceptional longevity of these chews makes them a valuable investment, providing extended joy for your furry friend and saving you the hassle of frequent replacements. Microwave Magic: The fact that these chews can be microwaved to create an enticing texture shift adds an extra layer of engagement for your pet, ensuring they stay interested and entertained. Digestive Friendliness: If your pet has a sensitive stomach, these chews might be a fantastic choice, given that they are gentle on the digestive system. Cons: Initial Cost: It's worth noting that these chews might be pricier than regular alternatives, which could deter some pet owners from making the switch. Microwaving Caution: While microwaving the chew can be a great trick, it's important to ensure it's done safely to avoid overheating or uneven puffing. In conclusion, the Devil Dog Pet Co Yak Cheese Himalayan Dog Chew has certainly won the heart of our English Bulldog, Juggernaut. Its impressive durability, microwave-friendly feature, and digestive compatibility make it a strong contender in the world of dog chews. However, it's important to weigh the initial cost and use caution when microwaving. It's been a delightful addition to Juggie's chewing routine, and we hope it might bring the same joy to your furry companions.

The best thing for chewers.
These are the best; my dogs love them. If you have heavy bone chewers, these will keep your dog occupied for hours. I also love that you can microwave the bone ends to make a "puff" they can chew on without choking. I also love that these are made locally.

My dog loves them!
So I think these are entirely too hard for teething puppies, so I gave it one star in that category. Use this for dogs who have their full grown adult teeth. And be sure they are “scraping” the toy. Not biting down on it. It will soften with saliva. But only slightly. I reiterate: DO NOT USE THIS FOR TEETHING PUPPIES. For flavor, my dog immediately took it. She adores these things. Raven took it immediately and chews on it until it’s almost gone. Then I confiscate it and put it in the microwave. It really does puff up and become brittle! The downside is the smell of slightly burnt cheese fills the house. Personally I hate the scent of cheese, but if you don’t mind then it should be fine. Longevity. This is extremely expensive for how long your dog gets to chew it. Mine goes through one a day. This is not a toy, consider it a treat. And I also don’t recommend leaving this as a kennel treat. They go too quickly for that and you could end up with a choking dog easily. Instead, this is amazing for when you have guests over. Raven is a reactive dog. And my step grandpa’s VA nurse came to the house. Raven is usually hyper and happy to greet visitors. She’s about 1 year 7 months old. But I’m trying to teach her to not jump and to coexist peacefully around guests. I gave her one of those and she went out there and greeted the nurse, but then laid down on the ground and chewed away at this for the entire duration of the nurse being here. She wasn’t disruptive, and I was there to monitor her. So longevity? One star. In summary: this is a great treat for those with a little extra spending money. It’s a temporary chew treat and is good for occupying your dog while you entertain guests. However, it should never be used as a kennel treat. Because of the shape and the size, as well as the sandpaper like grooves on the side, this would do some damage to the throat if swallowed and then extracted. If used responsibly, this is a great treat and I highly recommend it. I was not in any way asked, coerced, or paid for this review. It’s solely my own opinion and I have received nothing for writing it.

Longest Lasting Yak Chew!
Quite possibly the largest yak chew ever!! Also possibly the hardest! My German shepherd girl loves to throw her chews n toys. This yak stick has flown down a flight of stairs onto our tile floor with no fractures/splintering or broken off pieces! We’re also going on 1 week with this chew and only about 2 inches have disappeared! Finally a yak chew that lives up to its durability claim! Have subscribed 2x monthly shipments! Nice job Devil Dog Pet Co!
