Oldie but goodie
I was scared at first, because it wouldn't play several of my DVDs, until I did the old method, turn the DVD player off for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. It work big time and not bad at all for a used DVD/VHS player 😁

Buyer Beware !!!
I wish I had read some of these reviews before I bought one of these. I experienced two of the problems experienced by other reviewers. Hookup was easy and I liked the Auto Setup feature. However, I bought 5 new DVD's to watch and they all skipped at various places throughout the movie. At first I thought the disks were dirty, but they all did this just like another reviewer wrote. The picture quality was great but I would rather watch a VHS tape than sit through all these pauses and skips. Its like the screen freezes for a second or two. The other problem I experienced was slowness of the remote. I would push a button to navigate through a menu and it would take a second for the unit to respond. The audio and video quality was great but these two problems are causing me to send my unit back. Very disappointing as I have 100% Sony equipment in my Audio and Home Entertainment Center. I have been waiting for the Sony combo DVD/VHS unit to come out, now I'm sorry I did. I will send this unit back and continue to use my old Sony VHS deck and buy another brand of DVD player. Sony lost a customer on this deal.

It works and it looks good
Works very well. Had hitch in picture on brand new dvd. It’s kinda heavy but that doesn’t really matter

Half a product
Unit arrived with the front facade knocked loose. I hand-bumped it back into place, and tested it on VHS tape. Works very well, recent enough to have auto tracking, which works well. SatisfactoryNow for the DVD player. It opens and closes but does not play.I decided to keep the unit because I have another working DVD player. But your unit was advertised as a combo of DVD and VHS. That's not what came to my house. Thanks, Joe Roberts

Great quality
I love this unit! Great deal if you love old 70’s & 80’s media! I love it, it’s perfect! I actually thought my tapes were going bad, wrong; it was my player! this little machine was great for the money! DVD works perfect! And customer service was perfect.

Big Disappointment
It worked fine for a couple of months and now both the dvd and video cassette freeze up throughout the playing. I bought a cleaner for it and ran it but the same thing still happens. I'm very disappointed.

Need proper remote
I did not get the remote that was for this VCR. Have yet to make it work.
