I got one of these many years ago and was excited to purchase it again for my nephew. These are so easy to use, the accessories make it even more engaging, and the tech is perfect. GREAT GIFT.

This is a cute and fun little sphero. I got it for my 10yr old so he could play with the cat. Probably best for a younger age, but we all enjoyed driving it around and having the cat chase it. My biggest annoyance is that there isn't a way to turn it on other than taking the cover off and connecting it to the charging cable. It's not hard, just annoying.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is absolutely the best!! I got this and the case for my nephews birthday and now I definitely need my own. Easy to set up and play with. Im not super into tech things like this so the fact it was user friendly is important to me.

I ordered my son a Sphero Mini originally for his Birthday on Nov 30th, then I ordered this Activity Set for him for Christmas, I was completely unaware it came with a Sphero Mini in the Activity kit until my son opened it on Christmas, talk about an amazing Bonus in my eyes haha. It is so much fun seeing him learn how to code it, and also now I get to race him through the courses since we now have 2 Spheros!

After participating in coding week at school, my 8 year old son came home so excited to share with me that he had the chance to play around with a sphero robot and his little eyes lit up. He asked for one for his upcoming birthday and excitedly told me all about it. I bought this with the activity set as he will be able to get more out of the sphero mini. I can’t wait to see his little face when he opens it. Such a great product and it is very refreshing to hear a child these days be so passionate about learning.

Es mucho más de lo que parece. Como robot y como"coche teledirigido en bola" es muy divertido para jugar,sin entrar aún en el área de aprendizaje de programación en bloques o Python. Tiene varios complementos para hacer un circuito,un juego de bolos...y en la web hay mapas para imprimir y rodarla encima,y fichas para hacer más actividades con temática de golf y fútbol. Para iniciar a los niños en la programación o que puedan practicar en casa cosas que les enseñan en el cole solo encontré los que se hacen llamar robots educativos y que se les montan piezas de lego o incluso módulos de arduino, y luego estaba este robot ( porque es un robot radiocontrol,no es una pelotita). Este lo veo mejor para niños hasta 8 años. Incluso mejor que los que vienen para montarlos...que en mi entorno acaban montando los padres.

Got this for my son for Christmas and promptly spent the next several days dodging it as it executed multiple patterns (programmed by my son) around my living room. Since then the metaphorical shine has worn off of it somewhat, but he keeps coming back to it and overall I feel he more than got my money's worth out of it in the first couple of days. On a side note, I haven't the foggiest what the "thickness" feature I was rating refers to, but I certainly have no complaints about it (never having thought about it in the first place), so what the heck, five stars there.

This Sphero mini ball is a lot of fun. Almost endless options for activities. The activity kit makes this so much more fun, with activity cards and props to use. My 9yo daughter loves it. I would suggest this toy for tech minded kids from 8yo and up. The robotic ball is well made, the app is simple to use. I suggest purchasing the Sphero carry case along with this. Stores everything nicely. Highly recommend the Sphero mini and activity kit.

Kids love it and a great way to introduce STEM
