Highly recommended
I’ve been using crystal litter for years because of it’s scent absorbing properties. I didn’t think any other type could match it. But, with things as they are now financially I decided I had to try something else in two of our five trays. One I filled with paper based litter and another, this. The paper litter is absorbent but not easy to scoop (you essentially have to empty the entire box every two days) and it absolutely stinks. The cats quite like it though and have chosen it over the crystal litter (well, all but one cat has)This litter on the other hand is absolutely marvellous! It does track a little but other than that I have no complaints. The cats love it and I only have to change the whole tray once a week just as I did with the crystals. I scoop daily, top up now and then but only completely clean weekly. This is important as I’m disabled and it’s not an easy job for meI won’t be re-buying the paper litter but I just ordered two more bags of this. It’s cost effective, there is absolutely zero smell (and I have a very sensitive nose!), it’s easy to clean and preferred by the cats. It’s a win win![edit: I just wanted to do an update after reading through some negative reviews. I am a little confused. My nose is ridiculously sensitive and this litter does not smell!! I have 3 indoor cats and I have had no problem whatsoever with smell. The paper litter I tried - yuk. This stuff - not a problem! It’s not even that bad on tray cleaning day and that’s usually pretty stinky. I’m wondering how many trays multi-cat household reviewers are using. ANY litter used by several cats in a single tray is bound to need cleaning a lot and perhaps also bound to smell. That’s why you should have one tray per cat plus an extra. I have 3 cats and 5 trays. That’s the only explanation I can think of as to why folk are complaining about a smell. It certainly isn’t the product. It’s as good at absorbing smells as crystal litter. Also, there is mention of it not clumping. It absolutely does. It forms clumps around urine which just need a little wiggle with a scoop to get out. It does not clump around solids. However, to clump there would be unnecessary and the fact that it doesn’t means that you can sift solids in the scoop and return any loose litter back to the tray, making it much more cost effective. I’m losing so much less than I used to in the scooping process. Anyway, that’s just my 2p worth!]

Good clumping, flushable litter
I have two cats with some digestive issues so to speak, and this litter has been the best for them so far.The main winning point is that it is actually flushable, unlike other brands that do not live up to the claim. It does not cling to the toilet bowl in a clay like lump like some tofu based litters. It isn't a particularly dusty litter, there is some minor dust at the base of the bag, but this is easily worked around by storing it in a bin and scooping out what's needed. Additionally, due to the lack of the dust, it doesn't stick to the litter tray like glue. Anything left in the litter tray is easily scooped out and disposed of.It does have an unusual smell, not particularly strong, but unusual, and you get used to it quite quickly. I prefer it nonetheless to its counterpart clay based litters. It does minimise smell from the litterbox well, assuming you have cats that have the decency to cover their mess!Lastly, it lasts a good amount of time, as it clumps especially well, only the soiled litter need be scooped from the tray, meaning a full clean is not necessary every day.

Good cheaper alternative to 'Best' Litter, if you can handle earthy smell
Having used both Worlds and Cats Best for many years, I was looking for a cheaper alternative, natural clumping litter. Tried the Amazon own brand and that was good, but did go 'sandy' relatively quickly. Found this litter ticked most of the boxes.Pros : very absorbant, excellent clumping, low tracking, good overall odour control, practically no dust,Cons : earthy smell when cleaning out clumps (just on the edge of being unpleasant, but doesn't smell at other times). Clumps do stick to bottom of litter tray. If not for these 2 points, it would have got 5 stars. If you can put up with the smell and sticking, it is a very good alternative.Note that this litter is brownish/grey colour and not the expected yellowish of other corn litters.
