Better Than Honest at Half the Cost
I’ve been using Mama Bear diapers for over four years now across multiple children, and they’ve consistently been excellent. These diapers hold up through overnight sleep and long naps without leaks — something I can’t say about other brands I’ve tried. I don’t think I’ve ever had a blowout or leak while using them, even with active babies. One of the things I appreciate most is that they’re made with quality, fragrance-free materials. My kids have never had skin irritation, rashes, or red marks from these diapers, which gives me real peace of mind. I’ve tried Honest diapers when I forgot to reorder Mama Bear, but they were more expensive, didn’t fit as well, and I actually had leaks with them — something that’s never happened with Mama Bear. In my experience, Mama Bear diapers are nearly half the cost of Honest but with better quality and performance. After years of buying these, the only issue I’ve ever run into was one sleeve in a box that had a diagonal cut on part of the diapers. It seemed like a rare manufacturing error and hasn’t happened since. Otherwise, the quality has been consistently excellent.TL;DR: Mama Bear diapers are affordable, reliable, and high quality. They outperform more expensive brands and keep my kids dry and comfortable day and night.

Great Product, Great Value!
Little one is now 2yrs 8mos. We switched to Mama Bear from Huggies snug & dry almost a year ago. The Mama Bear diapers are every bit just as good as Huggies, at a much lower price. We've had no issues with any leaks. They fit her well, good stretch in the waist, and the legs are not tight. We just upped her to size 6 last month, she was 32lbs the previous month at her last well baby check up. The diapers are very soft, and do not irritate her skin (Parent's choice diapers do, but that is the only "generic" brand diaper we've tried. She is ok in Luvs but they leak too much, and of course Pampers are fine as well) But for the cost and quality, these are the best diapers overall we have found.

Great price, and great quality!
These are probably some of the most comparable diapers to anything else on the market. We only used pampers for the longest, but we won’t be going back. Very well priced, super absorbent, and no skin irritations from all three kids of our kids that have been in these. Of course everyone’s kids are different, but these have worked very well for us.

A Budget-Friendly Staple That’s Gentle, If Not Leak-Proof at Night
We’ve been loyal to Mama Bear Gentle Touch Diapers since my baby’s newborn days, and now at 2 years old, we’re still on size 4s (148 count, 4 packs of 37). These hypoallergenic, paraben-free diapers—with a wetness indicator and up to 12-hour claim—have kept us sane without draining our wallet, and diaper rashes have been rare (<10 incidents in two years). They’re comfortable and protective for daytime, but around 18 months, nighttime leaks did become a common occurrence, so we switched to a more absorbent overnight option. Below, I break down comfort, skin protection, leak prevention, quality, and value for money based on our long-term use. Comfort: These diapers are a win for all-day wear—soft, breathable liner and flexible fit that moves with my active toddler without bunching or chafing. The thin design feels less bulky than some competitors, letting him crawl, run, and nap without red marks. No complaints from him, which at this age is basically a standing ovation—feels like a cozy hug, not a wrestling match. Skin Protection: A standout for sensitive skin—gentle materials (chlorine- and fragrance-free) have kept rashes to fewer than a handful of times in two years. The hypoallergenic formula and quick-wicking layer keep his bottom dry-ish, cutting irritation risks. We do layer the Vaseline on for added protection, but these diapers do a lot of the heavy lifting. Leak Prevention: Reliable for daytime—contoured leg cuffs and a channeled core handle multiple wettings without blowouts, and the wetness indicator makes timing changes a breeze. Overnight, though, they falter; once baby started sleeping longer stretches (~18 months), leaks hit 1 out of 2 nights as absorption couldn’t keep up. We switched to a dedicated night diaper, and daytime’s been smooth sailing since. Quality: Mostly solid for the price—stretchy tabs grip without tearing, the backsheet withstands toddler tugs, and the cute prints (polka dots and solids) hold up. No chemical smells out of the pack, and they’ve been consistent from newborn to size 4. That said, I’ve had a handful of duds where the absorbent gel wasn’t sealed properly, expanding onto my baby’s legs once wet—a messy annoyance, but rare. Other than that defect a few times, quality’s been good and consistent, not luxury-thick like premium brands but dependable. Value for Money: The real star—at $30-35 for 148 (about $0.20-$0.25 each), it’s a lifesaver for our budget, especially as a Subscribe & Save item, which shaves off a few bucks. It’s way cheaper than name brands ($0.40+ per diaper), and the quality holds up for daily use, making it a no-brainer for cost-conscious parents. Cheaper generics often leak more, so this hits the sweet spot for value. Additional Notes: Size up if between fits for better leak protection, and pair with overnight diapers for heavy wetters. The zero-waste facility production is a nice eco-bonus. Conclusion: Mama Bear Gentle Touch Diapers are a gentle, rash-resistant daily workhorse with solid comfort, decent daytime leak protection, mostly good quality, and exceptional value, especially with Subscribe & Save. Nighttime absorbency and rare gel leaks ding it to 4 stars, but for the price and skin kindness, they’re a staple we’ll keep in the rotation.

Great diapers for great price!
Great diapers that don’t leak and are at such a great price! They are slightly smaller than Huggies brand sizing but not by much. They hold a lot, don’t irritate my babies skin and have a cute simple design!

The new design is awful, please switch back!
We loved the old design of these diapers. The new and "improved" version are unfortunately declined in quality tremendously. The cut of these new diapers constantly slips inward and gives a "wedgy" to our son, and it seems that as soon as he pees the diapers have dropped 4 inches and are gaping at the leg gussets. We're going through 4 extra diapers per day to make up for the change, so this is also no longer a cost effective option. We'll be cancelling our subscribe and save for these and finding something else unless they swap back to the original design.

Great for the price
Third baby but a lot has changed in 12 years. I used to use Luvs. We were gifted every brand of diaper to try for this baby and these Amazon brand fit my 4 month old 18 lb baby just right. He has substantial thighs and a narrow torso. So far no blow outs and they stretch well and stay secure. They are soft and don’t have a weird smell. Worked for overnights but they are a little thin- I change him often. Great for the price. Will purchase again.
