The Boy Who Saved Baseball

AWESOME I have never read a book like this in my life. It's really inspiring and the entire book was a big juicy story with a lot of detail about Cruz de la Cruz. Tom and Doc were very interesting, informative, intelligent, and inspiring. Kids read, read, read. This book inspired me and it will inspire you too.

My 11 year old son and I read this together, one of Brave Writer's recommendations for homeschooling. Such a GREAT read. We both thoroughly enjoyed the story and and the authors writing style.

He's read many books and listed this as his favorite a couple months after finishing. Usually his favorites only stay his favorites for a couple weeks. There are a couple religious references, for those wondering, nothing significant though. It is an enjoyable book though for both parent and child to read together or for a child that reads at least at a 5thd grade level to read alone. There are also several girls on the baseball team so it isn't necessarily just a story for boys.

As a baseball player I think this is a great book. There is a lot of suspense throughout the book. There is also a lot of exciting events like when Tom gets an important hit in the big game. And there's a prophecy that comes true! Even though there's a sad part it's worth the read!

Perfect for baseball loving kiddos who need to get some reading done this summer! Story grabs you right from the start!

Great story for those who love baseball. It has likable and redeemable characters and shows how far people will go to save their town.

This is a quality book that I've given to several kids. My grand kids all play baseball but they don't always like baseball books. Both my grandsons and my grand daughter (9 - 12) enjoyed reading this book. There is suspense and lots of action. This book received high reviews from others and I depend upon those reviews. This book has not disappointed me. Keep those reviews going!
