simple but efficient performance
I wanted an accessory that would definitely give my watch a different personality than the classic buckle that I used to use, I think the construction is very decent for the main function it has, I mean the leather strap is less compromised to the moment of bending to fit on your wrist this is something that I definitely appreciate, I like the feeling of comfort it has on the wrist, the closing mechanism is something that I have to highlight simple but very solid as it provides firmness and security when closing both sides you hear a very good CLICK !! It ensures perfect, I have deliberately tried to try to force the mechanism to simulate scenarios in which it could be compromised to be accidentally opened and fortunately the closing mechanism has not disappointed me, for the moment it has endured more than a simple day, I have listened to Several subjects mention that this type of butterfly-style buckle is more exclusive to wear in situations of presence and luxury and is not advisable in sports or activities that require a more demanding use, but in my case it is not the option personally I like them resistant and sober things I will tell you that I use my watch in all circumstances and this butterfly-style buckle has given me very good impressions, it is simple but very rough, it keeps my partner (Watch) in place at all times I suppose it is of more to mention that when opening the mechanism it works fast and without false hooks, without complications. The chrome finish pleases me although as time goes by I am afraid that it will leave me one or more marks of war it would not bother me it is part of the look that things in chrome finish tend to have also from my point of view the battle scars provide character to the things but it is only my humble opinion each individual with his own.

Not bad deployment clasp for its price point.
Recieved in fast time, less than 24 hours, thanks Amazon! The clasp is exactly as described and was a snap to install with the included tool and even came with four extra spring-bars in case you loose them. The stainless steel construction on this clasp is very well made and has a high polish shine. I opted for the black S.S. version and came well packaged with a protective plastic all over the clasp to not scratch the polished metal and was in a nice presentation box. The leather strap I opted for this watch (In pictures) is 24 mm at the lug and tapers down to 20 mm wide at the end buckle. The watch strap has a 3 mm thickness to the band and the crimp down portion of the clasp fit and secured with ease, it did not have any play or wiggle room when it closed down on the leather and had a slight snap to the closure to ensure it was on. Overall all for the price point this is a superb deployment clasp and have worn many others costing three to six times this amount. Great value.

Good but not perfect
Pretty good for the price. I have two. One works perfectly and the other has a finicky clasp that sometimes takes a try or two to click in. I’ll have to keep an eye on it and see if I need to do an exchange.Be aware that when these are installed, they feel very different at first. Not as comfy, but then you get used to it. One other small issue is that I keep my watches on watch pillows in a watch box and these are a real pain to get around the larger watch pillows/cushions as the extra metal parts make them it tighter. That same fit issue may find you feeling like the metal clasp digs into the bottom of your wrist. This is going to be different for everyone. After all, we are all shaped and sized slightly differently. I recommend buying one and trying it out before converting all your watches if you have a collection. The good news is that these do I’m fact drastically reduce the wear and tear in your nice bands. I only installed them on my favorite and more expensive bands. No need to buy one for a $10-$15 leather strap.

This will greatly extend the life of your watch strap
I’ve been into watches since I was a teenager and noticed that leather watch straps seemed to wear out very quickly. It was frustrating because not long after installing a new one the leather would start separating. Perhaps it was just a poor quality strap but I also noticed similar wear and tear on leather belts after a while. It didn’t matter if the leather is sewn, bonded or one single piece. They all eventually started to wear out.Once I started getting into higher end watches I noticed that many of them came with clasps like these. Unfortunately most of the watches I’ve purchased had the standard pin/tang buckle that everyone is familiar with. Bending the strap to put it on and take it off wears the leather out quickly. Using a clasp like this helps avoid that because you no longer need to bend it. I wish more watches came with these as standard equipment because they help prevent the wear and tear a leather strap typically sees.I’m surprised that there are so many negative reviews of this product. I’ve purchased three and have had no issues with the quality. I’m fact, they are better than the two Hadley Roma clasps I purchased from Amazon several years ago, and those cost three times as much. This one seems to be finished much nicer than the Hadley Roma clasp and this one comes with extra spring bars and a tool to remove them. I have purchased two of the polished stainless steel clasps as well as a black PVD clasp and and been very happy with the quality. One thing you need to remember about these is that you need to measure the strap with at the buckle and not at the lugs. Most straps taper a bit. In my observations a 20mm (lug width) strap requires an 18mm clasp, and an 18mm (lug width) strap requires a 16mm clasp. Measure yours to be sure if the correct size.

Good value. Watch for sharp edges.
Bought the 20mm version. Works great. Easy installation. Feels comfortable. There are sharp edges but they generally don’t affect comfort when on the wrist.A few days later, I bought the 18mm version for another watch. This one felt weird right away. The release mechanism seems to occasionally get stuck. I’d have to press it at a certain angle to get it to fully release properly. And for some reason, the sharp edges bother me more than the 20mm version. I sometimes feel the sharp corners of the release buttons dig into me. It’s not a deal-breaker. But it’s certainly not perfect.
