Did anyone else’s case come with a fishy kinda smell to it when first removed from the package

As a side note - I've had this 'fishy' smell with an Ikea sofa cover before. I think it must be a certain plastic or manufacturing process that produces it. A good way to deal with this type of thing is fresh air and UV light. So putting it outside on a sunny day will usually start to get rid of the smell fairly quickly.

Is the flip cover for the glass removable?

I bought the iPad and cover at the same time but 2 separate items. They came together and I put case on iPad. Have not tried to take off since.

Excellent quality

The colour is a darker purple as shown in picture but very rich. It is a perfect fit and the front flap.stays firmly in place even when I hold my iPad upside down so offers good protection for the screen. I am very pleased with the cover. My old cover was very worn so it has given my iPad a new lease of life. My iPad is rose gold and I find that this shade of cover compliments it very well.
