Punch Home Landscape Pro Version 17

I bought this because of the high recommendations and 'ease of use' scores. It was between this program and one made by Chief Architect. I had older architect software and wanted to update it. I couldn't upgrade the older software because they are no longer in business so I had to buy new. I have had this program for about a month. Unfortunately, this is one of the worst pieces of SW I have ever had to use. It is extremely difficult to position 'inside' walls where you want them and to adjust wall lengths When you use the scroll bar to move to a different part of the drawing, the window doesn't move with the bar but waits until you release the mouse button and THEN moves to the new location. Most of the time this is past where you wanted to go to and you have to reposition again. Unfortunately, I did not download the 'trial' (my bad) before buying otherwise I would not have bought it. I have downloaded the trial for the Chief Architect program. I wish I had gone with it rather than this one.

I had a previous version of the same program. Some of the drop down menus stopped working. Punch tech support was not willing to try to solve the problem other than reload the app. Did this but problem remained. I needed to use previously created files, so had to get (and pay) for a new version. No increase in functionality except for the "laser" guideline when drawing a wall with possible joining to another wall.

There are a lot of options to work with. I'm still learning it, the instruction videos are good, however, I have to review it over and over again. Anybody with CAD experience will find it easy to use. It is more about the home than landscaping, buy still provides ample landscaping options.

First of all I'm a Broderbund 3-D Home Architect Deluxe Fan!!! I figured since I found this product by way of Broderbund's website it would be a great product...Holy Hell I was WRONG!!! This product crashes every time I try and save!!! I spent a hour or so then tried to save and BOOM...It froze up, my computer along with it!!! So I restarted my computer went back to the program and tried to save again this time only a few seconds into it...and it did it again!!! It did that several times! I am now in the process of returning the crappy product!!! On top of it all it's selection and customization is VERY Lacking!!! It also doesn't let you create corner cabinets!!!

it helps out figuring out what you want to build, However it is more into flower beds and stuff like that. its linted to the point it has foundations but its only slabs and it does not have a breaker box so you can get the framing done but it is not a complete program to run down to the permit office'

Still working with it. Haven't explored its full capability yet, but so far so good. I'm not a designer or engineer so there is a learning curve involved.

I would not recommend this product, it was as if all the features were not active. The room design feature was very difficult to use when I tried to change the color on a wall, all the colors looked the same a kind of monochrome green-grey look. No bold colors and it was not an easy program to use.

When you purchase a product for this price you at least expect to be able to run the program. What I ended up with was a week of free trial and an invalid activation code. Absolutely useless
