Pulaski Pedestal Table

I hesitated to buy this after reading the reviews but am I glad I did. It’s a gorgeous piece of furniture. I was going to put it in a corner tucked away but when I saw it I wanted it out where people could see it. The Murano sculpture I put on it weighs about 35 pounds and it’s very sturdy to hold the weight. I’m fussy and I’m telling you, if you’re on the fence, get it. I saw the exact same piece on Wayfair for $50 more plus $50 shipping. It arrived well packed and no scratches. It’s the real deal!

I read most of the reviews before purchasing but I wanted it anyway. It is beautiful, solid and elegant. However as many reviews noted their is a lack of contrast in the table compared to the pictures. It is much more subtle but more noticeable in bright light because the contrast is still there. Came solidly packed too. The easiest way to open is to lay it down and open the ends and the seam between the ends so you can start removing all the packing. As well packaged as it was, I was surprised to find a small top corner slightly scratched about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch long. Used some dark old english on it and it disappeared. Still love this table. 1/4/2022 - Still have this table and it still is gorgeous. Since my husband passed away, I could never afford it on just my fixed income so I am really glad I bought it.

This is a very nice pedestal. It is heavy and well made. The negative ratings about the color are due to lighting. If the room light levels are low, the pedestal appears darker and uniform in color. However, in higher light levels it looks exactly like the pictures and the details pop. It came very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The pedestal looks great in our living room topped by Thorvaldsen's Christus statue replica. Very happy with this purchase.

LOVE this! Bigger, heavier, and nicer than expected. Very impressed, and makes quite a statement. Looks wonderful in the corner of our Dining Room. The wood tones are exactly as pictured, and the details and accents are a very dark brown. Very sophisticated looking display piece. One of the four sides the brad nail holes were visible to my discerning picky eyes, so I just rotated that side to the back. Other than that, very good and sturdy construction. Definitely recommended.

This is a GREAT pedestal - very stylish and robust - I have one that I purchased from a furniture store here in Phoenix. Liked it so much ordered another from Amazon. Unfortunately it is make in Vietnam and shipped to US - probably put in a warehouse - pulled out and shipped to me. Arrived busted on multiple corners - really heartbreaking to see such a beautiful smashed beyond repair !!!!!!

I have to say for an inexpensive pedestal this isn’t bad at all. A good quality pedestal can cost thousands. I did use rub and buff in gold to make the relief stand out, as it is rather dull in its own. Nowhere near the contrast you see in the photos. But easy enough to remedy. I have a very heavy bust on it and it’s holding fine. You just need to add some felt pads to the bottom of putting on wood floor.

I am an artist and I am very picky - I was surprised how nice this looks. It is not an amazingly expensive antique but it certainly plays the part pretty well. I bought it for a sculpture I did and it works beautifully.

Honestly, I was a little afraid....looking at the size of this piece versus the price. I was bracing myself to think it wouldn't work in my luxury living room. The piece is outstanding! The coloring is just as pictured, no flaws, is sturdy and is quite beautiful. As soon as I find another bust , I will be ordering another one!
