This little thing is the best item I've bought in a long time. I've only used it twice so far, I love it and I can see the potential with it. It's basically just me in my house now, and I haven't had a desire to cook. Tired of grabbing to-go meals(and it's getting too expensive) or frozen food. I started looking at these sandwich heaters. But I didn't like them, they all have a preformed cut out design, which IMO limits what you can cook on it. I may want waffles or pancakes once in awhile. Plus I don't like my sandwiches cut in triangles... And the reviews were bad on just about all of them, even big brand names. I about gave up finding something I liked and stumbled on this one. It's a flat surface and top and bottom and pretty good size in between the top/bottom so you can put a larger piece of bread or whatever in there. So I made a grilled cheese initially. Used 3 different types of cheese slices, and Bunny whole grain white bread. Made two sandwiches at the same time. Didn't use oil or butter. Came out perfectly golden brown and cheese melted to perfection! Came right off, didn't stick at all. Cleaned up easily with a damp paper towel(once cooled a bit). I also just made a couple egg sandwiches. Cracked two eggs in it, when done threw in some bread with cheddar cheese sprinkled on it, again, both sandwiches came out perfect. Made two more eggs, and this time I didn't keep looking, and within about 3 mins the eggs were done to my satisfaction, slightly over easy. Altogether, it's quicker, easier, less messy than using a frying pan for making either of those. 6 minutes and you're done ready to eat. As others have said, this thing is really a no brainer to operate. Plug it in, it starts preheating. Takes about 3 mins, then the green light comes on with a click. Throw your food in and close the lid. Grilled cheese and the eggs both cooked good in about 3 mins. Simply unplug, remove your food, and let it cool off before wiping it down. The eggs were a tad messier, but cleaned right up. Another pro, I managed to snag this about 10. off getting it through an Amazon Warehouse deal. The cons, and it's only a few that to me aren't a deal breaker; the outside metal does get hot. Be careful around small children, curious cats, mischievous dogs. The cord is rather short, it's maybe about 2 feet long total. My house is old, my kitchen outlets are up high for some reason. And I've spent the past 15 years or so staying away from non stick teflon type products. Guessing that's what this is. Just be careful that it doesn't scratch and don't use metal utensils to scoop food out. Otherwise, this is a great item, I'm very happy with this purchase.

This sandwich maker is so simple and so freakin great! First of all, I picked this up used (in like new condition) for 25 bucks. I couldn't be happier. I originally was going to purchase a sandwich maker that created grill marks and I am so glad that I didn't. The ease of cleaning alone makes this worth the purchase. Some reviewers have mentioned that you can't do large sandwiches on this griddle - and that may be true to a certain extent. Admittently, the floating lid latch does not allow for very large sandwiches. However, you can still do a 2 to 2 and 1/2in sandwich without having to smash it down and close the lock. I wonder if some reviewers think you have to close the lid and lock it to do a sandwich on this, but you definitely do not. I have made a sandwich that is two and a half inches thick without having to smash it down, and it grills both sides of the bread perfectly. And I do mean perfectly!.. I'm amazed at how evenly the bread gets toasted. I don't even use any butter at all, and it's perfect. I have also done hot dogs on this griddle and am sure you can cook a variety of things which I absolutely will be trying out. I can't wait to do hamburgers, pork chops and steak in this thing! Many have stated that the cord is too short. And it is short. It is exactly 24 in from the back of the unit to the start of the plug. This is not an issue, at least for me, as this is used on a kitchen countertop where there are normally plugins. If you don't have outlets on your kitchen countertop area, this may be a hassle for some. I do wish there was an on-off switch, but definitely not a deal breaker. I highly recommend this unit and if it were to break for some reason, I would absolutely purchase another one new. The ease of cleaning is absolutely out of this world. I definitely do not miss having to clean between raised grill areas. This thing literally takes like 3 seconds to clean with a damp paper towel. Buy this thing and make some grilled sandwiches and anything else, and don't look back.

This sandwich maker is very much like the one my mother had in the 1960s to make hot sandwiches. I’m truly in love!!! This is a great little machine and it works like a charm!!!

I use this frequently, it doesn’t take up a lot of space, heats up quickly and is very easy to clean. It has no knobs or adjustment levels, just plug in to turn on, wait for green light and you’re good to go. It’s great for 1-2 people. For a large family this may be too small because you need to work in batches since it will only heat 2 small sandwiches or 1 large. If I’m making 2 large sandwiches, I keep the 1st one warm in the oven while the second one is toasting. The thickness of bread and your fillings amounts will determine your success. Too thick and the sandwiches slide forward and you’ll need to push them back, too thin and only the bottom slices brown and you’ll have to either flip or hold the lid down firmly. If the lid had some time of hinge mechanism that could adjust for level of thickness, it would be perfect. I still love it.

This sandwich maker is simply fabulous! ZERO mess, cheese, ketchup and everything stays inside. Sandwiches are ready sooooooo quick, crispy outside and soft inside. No more "boiled" sandwiches...if you know what I'm talking about...I used it tens of times and even did not have to wipe it. It is sparkling clean. It can fit even 3 sandwiches inside, perfect for wraps. I do not grease the plates, nothing sticks. The best EVER. SERIOUSLY....Finally, I found the perfect sandwich maker. Very happy.

This is the best grill cheese sandwich maker. It is a basic unit that excels at one thing and that is grilled cheese. It toasts perfectly and wipes clean easily when done. It exceeded my expectations.

Have only used it the once so far. It took a while to heat up and the green light is not very bright, making it difficult to see whether it was on or off.. I had to set the timer on my oven to give me an idea of when the sandwich would be ready. The sandwich was perfectly toasted having tried it for 3 minutes, however. This is a quite basic appliance (no on/off switch or timer but it worked well and is certainly very easy to clean, which is a bonus.

This is such an awesome product! I've bought like 3 other types in the last year and a hal. From grill cheese sandwich maker to grilled sandwich maker, and they didn't last. They'd Crack on the outside if plastic, burn or loose coating of grilled area, not cook through or evenly. This one is the bomb! My kids and hubby and I all love the way it toasts, grills and heats through so it cooks whatever kind of sandwich you make to absolute perfection. It cooks golden everything, what it darker? No problem, put it through againor for a bit longer. We've had this probably about 4 months, and my family of 6, use it almost daily. Anything from breakfast, lunch, supper or dessert. Why didn't I find this during distance learning?? Seriously, you have to get this!
