Great kit. Very straightforward and easy to use. I would recommend using a very small socket to immobilize the nut on the backside of the QD cup when installing.

you might need a rubber mallet to get it to fit flush but works as it should.

While I love MAGPUL and admit i'm a bit of fanboy , i'm not overly crazy about this . My SGA stock for my 870 was set up to use them and with out knowing right off hand whoelse or where else to go for them , i threw down the BIG bucks for the MAGPUL item you see here , It works , it does it's job and it was a relative snap to install but once seeing it in my hand and installing it and realizing it's litterally just a metal cup with a screw and a nut passing thru it ... yeah , that's all it is , and it's multi functional as well , by that i mean this kit works with several other listed Magpul items also . Its a lil' ridiculous that this simple metal cup and a nut and screw cost so much but on the bright side , they did include a nice mylar/vinyl MAGPUL sticker ! lol Seriously though this item works as advertised and will probably out live me but the price is crazy for your actually getting and that is the only reason i'm dunning it 1 star :(

-Very well made, fits my Magpul backpacker 10/22 stock very well.-the only potential negative is the need for your own tools. You need a deep well socket to hold the bolt in place and a hex wrench as well. Neither come with it.-as others have stated, it is pretty bad of magpul not to have these installed from the factory. That being said, at least if you install them yourself, you know it was done correctly so if you’re using your tool for serious use it won’t fail on you.

If you have the Ruger PC Carbine Backpacker (Magpul stock), these are exactly what you need. Installation requires three hands or a lot of creativity on that particular model, but it gets the job done.
