I am looking to maximize the use of DISC. The 4 traits are ok, but the interpretations of those, especially applied to leadership, is where it goes from being interesting to useful.I purchased the Kindle book. I enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend it to any leader who is keen on appreciating their leadership style and of those they work with

It is useful book. Nevertheless, the writers draw largely from their experience, rather than research. That is fine, but they could make a clearer separation between research (supported by empirically valid sources) and their own experiences. Sometimes, I was looking for references, and they weren't there. (I want scientific research to support mental models. If something works, I want to know why it works. I have a bias for research. Not everyone shares my passion for research. That's fine and dandy.)I used the eight dimensions to create profiles for eight different leadership styles. These eight styles of leadership cover most leaders, so you can develop strategies for each leadership style. This book dovetails with the insights by Dr Robert Rohm.It is a great read. Perhaps the next edition will include more research material to support the writers' on-the-ground wisdom.

Just finished reading this. It was good and I'm recommending to anyone who wants to be a better leader. It's all about blind spots and improving who we are as leaders. I picked up some great tips and tactics to ensure I was seeing into my blind spots. Some are hard to take, as it should be. It's a challenge to think about and do things that may be completely on the other side of the DiSC circle to ourselves. But it's worth exploring the ideas and the book is written well. Read, not full of fluff and gets to the point for all us D's who read this.

This is a great book that teaches the disc model and helps you understand all the different leadership models. I would recommend to anyone in a position of leadership that has the desire to grow their leadership style and be able to connect more with the people around them.

Excellent book. We have used this for a couple of years in our company. I recommend it to anyone who has interactions with PEOPLE! (I was not intending to order the LARGE print edition, but must admit, the LARGE font is easy on the eyes). This purchase was my 48th of the book - I give them away to all of our managers and supervisors.

Just when you thought you understood DiSC, here's yet another perspective to get even more mileage out of it.The authors have really hit the nail on the head with this one.I do agree with multiple other reviewers - the paperback binding is poor quality, this is going to fall apart once its been read a few more times.

Provides quite a bit of insightGreat reference and deep dive into management DIsC profiles and information. With that said the evaluation on the digital version is very surface oriented and also is an additional $5.00. It does however give some direction and ability to build action items to work from.
