Good quality rake calliper for VW fitting was excellent too

Qualify item, straight fit and bled perfectly

Bought as a quick fix for a seized calliper, after 6 months it needed replacing again! the handbrake lever sticks on the back of the calliper, the casting is low quality, the ports for the bleed nipple and the flare nut have a very loose feel to them when screwing the brake pipe in or bleeding the air out, which in itself was a nightmare with this calliper. Spend the extra money and get a TRW calliper.

I bought these as replacement brake callipers for my VW Golf MK 5 They are well made with a quality that appears similar to the OE callipers at a fraction of the price. Some of the reviews were critical of the fit, but I found no issues at all. I inspected all the machined threads and again found them to be perfect . The threads are a fine unf thread, so are easy to cross on assembly, I can only think this is why some reviews mention poor threads. I was dubious because they are a budget option , but having fitted them I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

2010 Model Year 1Z3 Octavia2 installation honest review. Pro: Very good price. Con: as mentioned in another review I had to swap the brake flexi pipe bracket and hand brake return spring over from my existing old caliper because the flexi brake pipe bracket was misaligned on the new unit one. This prevented the fitting of the flexi to the small fixed brake pipe. Hope this makes sense as reading this from a previous reviewer helped me and seems to be a common problem for this item.

The back Brake was binding on my yeti I ordered one in the evening it came very early in the afternoon the next day, I had it fitted by 3:00 p.m. excellent service and an excellent parts
