Perfect Practice Golf Balls
I recently purchased the BirdieBall Practice Golf Balls for my husband, an avid golfer who constantly seeks ways to improve his game. These practice balls have proven to be an excellent addition to his golf training arsenal, especially for practicing in our yard. These practice balls are designed to simulate the feel and flight of real golf balls while offering the convenience of limited flight. This makes them perfect for backyard practice sessions without the worry of them flying too far or causing damage. One of the standout features is their ability to mimic the spin and trajectory of real golf balls. This allows my husband to work on his full swing mechanics, ball striking, and accuracy, all from the comfort of our yard. It's a great way to refine his technique without going to the driving range whenever he wants to practice. Another notable advantage is their versatility. Whether he's practicing with irons, wedges, or drivers, these practice balls perform admirably across the board. They provide consistent flight patterns and are forgiving enough to help him focus on improving his skills rather than retrieving errant shots. I am very pleased with the BirdieBall Practice Golf Balls; more importantly, my husband is too. These are worth considering if you're looking for effective practice balls that offer a realistic feel and flight.

Great Product. Break 80 consistently now.
Amazing product. Gives good feedback on your swing. Can use in my front yard (200') with all of my irons. I practice daily, what a difference it made on my game. Was able to go from low 90's down to breaking 80 consistently, all due to being able to practice every day. Highly recommend.

Surprise! A fantastic golf practice ball!
What a fantastic practice aid! There are tons of options for practice balls out there, and I've tried many of them. The birdie balls kick their butts easily! So many 'pros' to this product, and the 'cons' I can live with easily. You can shape shots as with a real ball... the birdie ball flight is just like a real ball. They will pull/hook/draw/go straight/fade/slice/push just like... you guessed it... real golf balls! There is a realistic feel to hitting them. That's huge for me. So many practice balls feel terrible off the club, but the birdie ball feels great when you pure it, and cr#p when you miss hit. They fly only 40-50 or so, no matter which club you use, so they are really good when space is limited. A side bonus to this is that I found errant shots less dangerous because they land so softly (relative to a golf ball!) On the negative side, they look funny. It takes some getting used to hitting a cylinder instead of a ball. When you flush a shot perfectly, there is a sound like hitting an empty oil drum... a pure "doyiiing!" kinda sound. Perhaps that would be a 'pro' for you. My final observation is one that some will deem a 'pro', while others will see it as a 'con'. You see, while the Birdie Ball is made to be the exact diameter of a real golf ball, it appears larger at address because you're looking down at a cylinder instead of a sphere. (if that's not clear, it will be the first time you try it). This can be a great confidence booster because it just feels so much easier to hit. Lower handicappers might not like this aspect as much, though. I got one in a gift bag at a tournament, and probably took about a year before I finally got around to trying it out lol. I use them all the time now, though. There's always at least one in my golf bag. I guess that's another 'pro'... I use one as a warm-up aid when I can't hit the range but still want to get a few full swings in before a round.. PS - I work in the golf industry and have a 9 handicap.

Good practice aid
so far they seem durable. they accurately portray ball flight such as fade or draw. i think its a great and safe practice aid.

Uber Cool Practice "Balls"...
...BirdieBalls, that is. I admit to some doubt when I shelled out for these, but after just a few swings I'm a believer. They make a satisfying "tunk" when you hit them, a cool "whirring" sound as they fly through the air, and only go 40 to 50 yards even with a full swing. Plus they're easy to find if I flub one; you'd think they'd bounce around crazily when they land, but they don't. They tend to stay pretty close to where they hit the ground (as long as you don't bounce them off something like a rock or tree). And they truly do tell you if you're hitting straight, hooking or slicing; something plastic wiffle golf balls do not do very well. These things are ridiculously fun to hit; addictive, even. Perfect for practice with my hickory clubs, since I can't swing my hickories at the driving range (they can't take modern high compression balls). With Birdieballs I can swing away in my backyard and get actual, full swing practice; very helpful indeed. Highly recommended!

These are fun to use. They let off a buzz or whistle and travel about 30 m when they are hit solidly. I am a true beginner and these have been great. The immediate feedback from a solid hit is appreciated.

Excellent product.

Well, it's not a real golf ball and they are a bit expensive. Nevertheless, hitting them is more pleasant and realistic than wiffle balls. Has a more solid feel and flight seems to reflect the contact well. They do go some distance though, so watch out for your neighbours windows. I admire the ingenuity -- real thinking outside the box. I'd give a star just for that! I recommend them if you like to chip around your property. Well-made material-wise and they seem to be able to take a beating. You can use them for napkin rings if you are running short at a dinner party.

I bought two packs cause it was listed for a decent price and I was looking for a range replacement of sorts. As the other reviews noted the durability is questionable. Even with two packs they deformed rather quickly (first session hit each one only twice). Eventually they will crack but to deform and scuff up pretty fast is disappointing. The flight does seem to do its thing but there's some caveats. First it needs to be super flat, not a major issue if the grass is cut short but can be annoying to get right. Secondly the ground can't be too hard or else the club will bounce up on full swings and not strike the sweet spot at all. So really the best results requires a mat or the additional hitting launch pad they have. If any of those are off then forget about having an accurate flight. Its the nature of the design and even in real golf rock hard ground is not go. Just the natural inconsistency of placing it on the ground will cause too much issues. Plus the deformation surely has an effect on flight to some degree. Finally, it's too big. It's about 5mm wider than a golf ball plus it's shape makes its visually bigger than it really is. It looks huge at address. Hitting with a square face seems to be fine but when you're trying to shape shots (namely draws) it seems to hit the hosel a lot. It's possible that higher lofted clubs are subject to that more. Perhaps hitting from the inside it could be sliding up the grooves for too long and runs into the hosel. I thought it was me but then I hit a normal ball and it's fine. When going back to a normal the ball looks way small (kind of a reverse psychology trick - it felt easier to hit a real golf ball). If I had to guess, when the face comes into the ball at an angle the surface area to hit is slightly smaller. For a golf ball it doesn't matter cause only a small point of it makes contact. But when the Birdie Ball is not only wider but also shaped like a cylinder, there's very little room left to hit it clean. It's also not as if it has a urethane cover for spin to grip the grooves either so it's window to grip the club is small enough. Overall the concept is good. It does shot shape but without the ideal lie results are questionable. It's also too big and durability is subpar. Honestly it's more for chipping but then might as well use real golf balls. I'm sure it feels better than conventional plastic golf balls but I would rather have the size of real golf ball.
