I also used this for my shoulder surgery. They would also work for knee replacements. Easy to clean. Long lasting. Stays cold 8 to 12 hours. Highly recommend.

I'm so glad I purchased these ice packs for after my hip surgery! I had hip labrum repair/FAI surgery and these were the absolute perfect ice packs for afterwards. I got a large, half size, and the neck wrap- all with straps. Straps are key!! I got the neck wrap one bc it was the perfect design to be able to go around the entire hip and groin area! It was absolute perfection and worked just the way I hoped it would!!! I also had a lot of pain on the top and side of my hip and thigh so I was able to place the large and half size packs exactly where I needed them as well! I posted pics so you can see how having the straps allowed me to place the packs all around my hip and leg so well! Bc they are lined it was great to be able to do my first 20 mins lined side down, take off for 20 mins (placed on a towel on the bed next to me- did not have to be placed back in the freezer), and then I turned them around and placed the non-lined side down on me for the next 20 mins and they were still very cold!!! They are super easy to use once you have them near you and they are definitely heavy duty and seem like they will last a long time.Cons: You WILL need to lay a towel down under any part that will be on your bed/couch etc, bc they do get frosty and eventually wet/sweaty on the outside during the first icing. And place a towel over the top of them if you put a blanket over you. They are heavy! I've been non weight bearing on crutches for the past few weeks so it makes it difficult for me to take them in/out of the freezer to the room myself, however, I did put them in a grocery bag to make it easier to get them in and out and to carry them with crutches. BUT it is not easy to carry the 3 packs with crutches, you have to be coordinated to do it, but it can be done. So there is that.I added pics so you can see how awesome they are to mold to you exactly how you need them. I would absolutely buy these again every time. I wish I had these before my surgery! I play hockey and these will for sure be used a lot in the future! The pros outweigh the cons and I highly recommend these!

This is a pretty nice and well made neck cold pack. It does stay flexible (so, I can fold and put in freezer and it takes up very little space!) and it seems like it could last forever (we'll see). I'm disappointed by 2 main things which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5.1. There's not enough gel inside - I'd say that it could use to have about 50% more than it has. If I want the cold to last around the back of my neck a bit more, then there's little to no gel in the "arms" that go over the trapezius.- an additional note here about the gel - it might be nice if there was some type of baffle in the area between the neck part and the "arms" part that would slow/reduce the flow of gel through the unit so there's less chance of the ends of the unit having no gel at all in them at times during use (yes, I know I can just squish the gel from place to place but that gets old, trust me). I'm sure there are plenty of manufacturing reasons why they would NOT want to do this so I'm thinking that just adding a bit more gel would be hugely helpful.2. This is probably a result of #1 - it doesn't stay cold long enough. It gets SUPER cold in the freezer, but I think that because there's not much gel in it, that cold dissipates relatively quickly - after 15 mins, there's a a pretty dramatic drop off - it does remain cool for at least another 20 to 30 mins.I like how well made the product seems to be and I would buy another product (different size for instance) from this company.

I had knee replacement surgery and I can wrap this gel pad around my knee. A pillowcase is just enough for a cover. Pad is good for neck an shoulder too

Very nice quality, feels very cold and lasts longer than I thought it would. I am a petite female, and it is not too big for me. I am using it for a whiplash injury. It's great to use when walking around or working at my desk. I can wear it to bed or while watching TV without the leaking that sometimes occurs with my ice bag.

I bought this Shoulder Gel Pad because I recently had Shoulder Surgery. It's been helping me, especially with the swelling. Though I wish it stayed cold longer.

I love flexikold products because they are durable and hefty. They stay cold for a very long time but this one does not conform well to the neck. It’s jut to bulky to fit snugly and I had a very difficult time with the provided strap. No matter how I placed it, I felt like I was being choked. I will however continue to buy these products. The quality is very good
