Cleans the fruit and veggies with no taste
I've been using this product for years to clean my fruits and vegetables. I have a colander that fits into a bowl specifically for washing produce. I add the fruit or veggies, fill the bowl with water and add a splash of Fit. Then I let it soak for a while. I lift out the colander, pour off the dirty water (which it's always dirty), and rinse the produce. It removes dirt, chemicals, and any wax coating. The produce never tastes funny from the Fit. If anything, it tastes so much better because any residue is removed. You can also pour a small amount into a spray bottle and add water. Then you can use it to spray directly on your produce and it's already diluted. Great product.

I like the stuff
I have used Fit for several years, and have always liked the product. Recently the local supermarkets in the area can't seem to decide if they are going to carry it or not, so I bought the 3-pack from Amazon. Based on history, it probably lasts well over a year. The Good Points: * I am not a chemist, so I have no idea if Fit removes any pesticides, harmful wax, dirt and grime, or left-over pixie dust. What I do know is that fruits and vegetables SEEM to be cleaner. * Fit will lather up a bit when you spray it on. I assume that the lather means it is removing the dirt and grime from everyone who had handled the food since it was last washed. (As an aside, why do people think it is OK to let their kids handle all the apples in the produce bin?) * The Fit bottle stays on the kitchen counter at all times, and it serves as a reminder to wash stuff before I eat it. It is worth having around for that reason alone. * In the only true test I have ever tried, I have rinsed strawberries under cold water, then sprayed them with Fit, then rinsed them again. There is always dirt visibly removed with the 2nd rinse. (And no, I never tried a double-blind test with a second water-only rinse). The Bad Points: * None as far as I am concerned. I am sure I am getting ripped off buying Fit rather than mixing up some combination of lemon juice and club soda that I could no doubt find on the internet...but to be honest, the stuff doesn't cost enough to bother with. Summary I like the stuff, and honestly believe that fruits and vegetables are cleaner, and therefore healthier if I use it. It doesn't seem to add any tastes or residue to foods. As far as I am concerned, I THINK it works, and don't believe it causes any harm. For me, that makes it worth the cost.

Great for getting wax and dirt off produce
This mild solution is quite effective in getting waxy coatings off produce like apples, bell peppers, tomatoes, etc. AND, it is great in getting dirt off of potatoes, salad greens, and fresh green beans, strawberries, and so on. I buy this bigger jug and refill the small spray bottle version. No, this product is not a cure-all. The makers don't claim to eliminate every possible chemical or pesticide, nor wash off all germs. However, you will notice much cleaner produce with a reduction in wax and dirt, which you don't want to eat anyway. I always use it to wash my pre-packed salad greens, even though the package says triple washed, and I am always glad I do because I see the color of the water after the greens are rinsed off. Who knows what I would have eaten without Fit. Here's how I use it for salad greens: -put the salad mix in a colander -spray Fit generously on the leaves, and toss the pieces with your hand to get the solution to mix through the greens -rinse with the sink sprayer to give the salad a good shower, again hand tossing the leaves to make sure the water gets through everything -gently shake in the colander and then use a salad spinner to wick away the extra moisture. Here's how I use it on fruit like apples/peaches/pears/oranges: -Wash each fruit individually by praying the fruit's skin with Fit -Gently rub all over the skin (like you're washing your own hands with soap) -Then rinse off To soak larger batches of fruit instead of washing individually: -fill the sink with a couple inches of water, pour in Fit per the directions on the bottle (it will look a little opaque/milky) -add the multiple fruits like many apples, pears, peaches, all at once -roll around a bit to coat/wash each one -let them sit in there for a couple minutes -take out one by one and rinse, then empty the sink (you'll see all the yucky stuff in the bottom of the sink - jackpot!)

My favourite veggie wash. Fruits and vegetables look and feel noticeably cleaner, and it smells nice. Side note: Pitney Bowes is the worst shipping company ever. I ordered this item and they lost it. Ordered it again, and they lost it again. Ordered again and paid for the priority shipping, no problems.

This didn't smell or feel like the original Fit I've purchased in the grocery store. It certainly didn't remove the wax from my fruit like the others have in the past. Very disappointed.

I am sure the product is very good I was waiting for it for months because they had no more stock. Upon arrival one of the three containers was empty, It arrived damaged and the cardboard box was soaked. It was repacked by post Canada into a plastic bag. We have started to use the product and are satisfied with it.
