These are much higher quality than my prior retractable audio cables.

My kindle will not connect by bluetooth to my car to play over the speakers. I read some advice in researching this to see if you could connect using an audio cable and bought this for that purpose. It does work. I can play audio books from my kindle through my car speaker. I like the length of the cord and that this retracts. It worked very well for us on a long car ride with a passenger to operate things and manage the cable. The cable is delicate. It quickly developed a problem where the kindle had to be supported at a certain angle to play through the speakers. Considering the cable is retractable and meant to be coiled and that it was handled gently, I was not impressed by that. Guess that is why they are sold in a pack of two. Nevertheless. it worked, I still have a cable to use next time we go on a long car trip and want to listen to audio books, and I didn't pay a fortune for it.

No pic. Not going to car for a snapshot. Not a bad cord. Definitely like the retractability! Durability may be an issue if you're rough with it. The wires could be a little thicker, but the sound quality is great! Only issue i have is the constant tension. You have to pull it out to a certain length for it to hold and not retract. And that length is usually longer than I need. In all nice cord.

I needed something to hook my older phone to my older truck stereo. I am not happy with lots of wire clutter and wanted to find something like this to address that issue. The re-coilers work effectively and have multiple holding spots for different lengths and work consistently. The wires are small so you can sneak them out of a console box if that is where your auxiliary port is on your vehicle. Overall very happy with performance of the retractors and the sound quality transmitted through the wire.

They aren't pricy but I did run into some sound quality issues in both a car aux hook up and using it with my ps5 gaming headset. Also the cord mechanism eventually stopped work properly. But overall I would still recommend, they get the job done and you get 2 for a low price.

I use aux cables to connect my iPod to a pair of sound damping headphones while I mow the lawn on my riding mower. I had gone through a number of cables before ordering my first pair of Cable Matters Retractables. Some of the earlier cables failed at the connector just from wear. Some failed when the dangling cable got caught on something. The Retractables are at least equal to other cables with regard to plug and unplug wear, and the retractability is a really big advantage by reducing dangling cables. This is my second order. The first order was two years ago. One of the originals began to have sound problems, (no retraction problems) so I began to use the second one and ordered another pair. I strongly recommend this item.
