SOOW 10/3 Bulk Cable - SOOW Jacket, 30 Amps, 3 Wire, 600v - Water and Oil Resistant (10)

Tested it on regular 120v and reading were 59.9 hertz and 121.5 watts. Love the flexibility of cord. Easy to strip and if careful and copper strands stay entacked. I recommend this product

I bought some to wire my compressor, I was so impressed by its quality. Extremely flexible, high strand count, and after I tinned the tips and soldered the ends onto the individual wires, the coating never melted. So I have since bought again for my shop heater and hot tub. Also super fast shipping, cross country and delivered in 3 days.

Cable is not SOOW (Service cable, Oil resistant outer, Oil resistant inner, and Weather resistant). It is 10/3, but it has a thin insulation and sheath, and has a surface that is not smooth as expected but has ribs. The markings on it are illegible because of the ribs, but does appear to read 300V, not 600V. This would make it a SJ (Service Junior) prefix. I put an iron to the end and it melted, so it has an outer sheath that is Thermoplastic (melts in hot environment) which requires a T in its cable type (like STOW or in this case the cable at best is SJTOW Service, Junior, Thermoplastic, Oil resistant outer only maybe, Weather (water & UV?) resistant). I needed a SOOW, no J, no T, both Os and a W. This is not it.

I bought this for a generator, so I haven't had the need to use it yet, but it is exactly what I was expected. Quality seems good for the price paid. Happy so far!

Great product. Very heavy sleeve, I was impressed. Used this to wire my air compressor.

I didn't need it, but the cable was ideal for the short run I needed it for.

Looks like decent quality. It worked for me, making a 220v plug for a phase converter
