Putco 283571A Neutron Amber 3157 LED Bulb - Pair

I own a 1999 Buick Regal. As they say these fit right into the socket. However, first off they run on a different resistance then the regular bulbs so they blink on the fast rate (when car indicates burned out bulb), hyper flashing. You'll need more equipment to fix this problem. I ran these for about 5 days. I checked on the lights and saw one was out. When I pull the socket out the plastic below the metal is melted on the replacement bulb. It has ruined the socket, as I can not pull the LED bulb out. The plastic of the socket isn't built to be pulled on and just breaks. This was a new socket too. The other bulb looks fine but now I have no trust in this LED bulb to not melt again. Unsure what caused melting?

I used these for my back up lights and works great! Made in the USA! Save money on those juck halagons.

I tried to use these bulbs as daytime running lights on a 2006 Chevy Silverado. One of the bulbs fried on day one. Initially they came on and was not impressed at all. Those 3 stupid little led's put out next to zero lumens. I still gave it a benefit of doubt and figured to look at them again in the evening time. By that time I noticed one of them had melted off literally from the silver base down. The bulb was completely deformed and was very difficult to take it out of the socket. I should have known better to not fall for this creative marketing writing, lifetime crap. BOTTOM LINE: ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE. Even if they worked, the output is very dimmmmmmm.

During the last year I have purchased through Amazon over thirty sets of the Neutron Bulbs in various colors to replace the OEM equipment supply with the new vehicle. After approximately 5-7 weeks of use in seldom driven vehicles the Neutron Bulbs began to melt. I contacted Amazon and they told me to contact Putco directly for replacements. When I contacted Putco THEY told me that Amazon had to take them back BEFORE I could get replacements. Now I have TWO problems-The FAILURE RATE is over 60% of ALL Nuetron bulb purchases and I cannot get replacements or credit because during the delays by Putco the time frame for Amazon's action has been exceeded. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT HAS PUTCO'S NAME ON IT, THEIR PRODUCTS A THE WORST PRODUCTS I HAVE EVER PURCHASED IN MY EXTENDED LIFE AND THE COMPANY IS ETHICALLY CHALLENGED.

I've gone through 3 sets of these bulbs, installed correctly with resistors in my 2010 Dodge Charger, and they've all melted. And of course they melt right after the cut off is to return them. Absolute garbage.
