This is better than regular paper. This product and Yupo paper are made for different purposes.
Summary: I use this for archive purposes for purely permanent ink notes and sketches. I do engineering work and use it for designing. It works great. There have been comparisons between this product and Yupo. The Rite product is good when a larger volume of paper is needed vs cost. Yupo is more of a professional art quality polypropylene type paper, and is much more costly than this product. I gave this 5 stars because its better than regular printer paper, especially if your work has some value. Pros: 1) Great waterproofing. 2) Handles permanent ink well, ball-point pens take longer to dry. 3) Stronger than regular paper, but still can tear. 4) Good amount if sheets for the price/quality. Cons: 1) The version I purchased was not as white as I expected. 2) It is not rip-proof at all, but tear-resistant. 3) It can have unusual/unexpected results in certain environments because of it's production treatment, but for everyday use it works great.

CERT
I wish I would have ordered directly from Rite in the Rain. Amazon takes to big of a cut from great small businesses in the USA. This is a great product. I purchased this product to print waterproof CERT and FEMA forms. Join your Community Emergency Response Team today!

Very durable waterproof paper.
This product does what it claims to do at a reasonable price. In any ordinary rain or moisture conditions, it will work extremely well. I torture-tested this paper as follows: Laser-printed standard 12-point text & gray-scale photos on a sheet, also wrote in ink (using the special Rite In the Rain waterproof pen, not included, purchase it separately) and in pencil on the reverse side. Then, I put the finished printed sheet in a bowl of hot water (140 degrees F or so) with some dish detergent, and crumpled it into a ball. I scrubbed the paper against itself and my fingers for close to a minute, until it was totally wrinkled and saturated. The paper resembles US dollar bills in wet strength -- very tear-resistant, requires real effort to rip even if wet. Upon unfolding, about 50% toner & ink density was gone, but it was still possible to read the material without much difficulty. Moreover, I could still write on the paper with the special pressurized-reservoir waterproof ink pen or an HB-hardness pencil, without tearing the sheet. If you carefully flatten out a soaked, crumpled, soapy sheet on a hard surface and use a kitchen scrubber, you *can* remove *almost* every last trace of ink or pencil -- but not all of it, there is still a shadow of the original left, even after this extreme test.

Plain copy paper with a waterproof coating: does what is says.
Other waterproof paper products are more like Tyvek. Great for printing maps, nearly impossible to tear, etc. This product is more like regular copy paper but with a waterproof coating. It will run smoothly through your copier or laser printer (as long as it has a heated fuser). Don't try to use this in you color ink printer (most inks are water based and wont penetrate onto the paper). Also this paper will rip or tear like regular paper but it does repel water and will out last regular paper in humid or wet conditions.

Wet or Rough Use, this is durable
I use this paper for outdoor applications where it might be wet or handled roughly. It works very well. A side benefit is for my geocaches where it shines in performance as log paper to record the visits and comments. Very durable and resistant to water damage. Love this stuff. The only drawback is it takes a laser printer to make the documents. For that I use the one at the library until I replace my ink jet printer in a couple years. It is not an inconvenience because hanging out at the library is a very good use of time.

You CAN print and the ink stays on the paper
I do a lot of work outside, in a humid, tropical country. The paper is RITR so it was apparent it would hold up but I also wanted to print in an inkjet printer. Although it says the paper is not for an inkjet, it works, the ink remains even when getting wet from sweat, humidity or rain - and it didn’t jack up the printer. Your call but worked for me and have always love RITR products

Tested both Rite in the Rain and Koala paper-I'm using Rite in the Rain
I have used both Rite in the Rain "Weatherproof" and the Koala waterproof letter sized product. The Rite in the Rain material loads into my Brother laser printer much easier than the Koala. I have to use manual feed and the feeder grips the R.R. product and loads it correctly almost every time. I am using these papers for maps and did some testing earlier on. The RR paper is much easier to fold and takes a set better. It is not as durable- just to test it I folded one and carried it in my back pocket for awhile. It definitely wore more but it should be more than adequate for its use. I also exposed both to water. The RR paper would absorb a bit of water after awhile but, again, it should be good for these bicycling maps. They are kept in zip lock baggies so the only real exposure is if they are taken out in the rain. The Koala is much more water resistant but, again, the RR paper will be adequate. I am using the Koala for cue sheets which I expect to be exposed directly to water at times.

Definitely better than regular paper!
I bought this for making waterproof maps for hiking. I will say that it does a pretty decent job at that, however, understand that if you take this paper through hell, it does have its limits. We set out to hike 31 miles in a day and it rained nearly the entire day. I had a map printed on this paper in my pocket and not an inch of me was dry from 8AM to 9PM. The map was folded in half 3 times and I probably took it out of my pocket at least 20 times throughout the day. Where the paper was folded, it was starting to look like wet paper. Where the paper wasn't folder it felt like wet paper but it wasn't really affected. Bottom line, if you're using it for maps, it is great for a little bit of rain. If you get soaked, assume you will need a copy of the map for each day you hike, but it is still way better than regular paper.

This paper is great. It gets wet, but holds together well, and you can write on it with a pen that is easy to write with. Pencil maybe not so well. But is great for logs in geocaches, and other applications. I am planning to use it in signs I make up and laminate. Laminate doesn't always last and sometimes it splits, allowing water in, but this should leave the sign useable.

Got a package to try for my employees making field notes in the rain, or stormy days when spray is flying onto the deck of the boat. We have been using this for over six months in the field now and it has been a game changer. This paper works well in the copy machine for printing out the various field forms we use, and I like that it’s a slightly different shade of white (off white) so you can distinguish it from regular paper so it doesn’t get wasted on nice days! It works great in the wet windy weather and it tough, doesn’t tear. This is exactly what I wanted and I’m super happy with the results, worth every penny for us!

I used this to make a dive log booklet. This goes on the dive boat, i come out wet and sometimes drip on the pages and still writes well. Good quality bond paper. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it. No issues printing with my Brother laser printer.

I didn't use this for an outside project, but I did wet the paper several times and the water did not penetrate. I was using it to make stencils for silk screen prints and it worked well.
