Works great! HOW TO: Reverse Flow
Works great! Easy install in typical interior drywall structure. Very quiet and moves air from equipment closet well. I modified to reverse the flow, so it blows away from the cord. How i did it: pop off the grill cover with the switch (use narrow flatblade to disengage 3 clips), remove fan blade (it pops off, pull at the hub so you don't break blades), remove two bolts holding motor to bracket, slide out armature (drive shaft), rotate motor frame 180⁰, reinsert armature (long shaft away from grill side, to accept fan), snap on fan blade, snap on grill cover (adjust wires as required to avoid contact with moving parts, ziptie if needed). Do at your own risk (I work with mains power often, but no wiring is needed here)!!! Also, light machine oil on bushings. No clue how/if this will affect longevity.

Great product
We ordered 2 of these fans to install in the walls between some rooms in our basement. It is surprising the amount of air they pull in. The fans are also very quiet. I highly recommend this product.

Does the job
We purchased this fan about 5 months ago and its working fine. I needed to get extra ventilation into a utility room. This fan moves alot of air even on the low speed. Installation was easy enough, I completed the job in about 30 minutes. The fan is a little noisy though. This is not an issue in a utility room (about the sone noise of a mid priced bathroom exhaust fan) but if it was in a room that you want quite it may be a little bothersom. Keep in mind if you are venting into a closed room you may want to put a another vent (passive) in the room so that the air can circulate back out of the room. This fan is also larger in diameter that what it appears on line so I would recomend that you take the time to mark how much space this will use on your wall before ordering.

Works great at the end of a small run!
Purchased this fan to get warm air from a hallway/main living area into a bedroom on the northeast side of our house. That room has two exterior walls and is always cold in the winter. Our house is heated with hot water baseboards, and this room seems to be on the end of the loop in addition to being on the coldest side of the house. Because framing around the door prohibited me from installing this fan over the door (and there wasn't any other wall available to go directly through), I had to install 8" rigid ducting that went from the hallway, through a cabinet in the adjacent bathroom, and into the bedroom. There's about 36" of ducting total. All connections were made using sheet metal screws and foil backed tape to ensure no warm air leaks into walls - which could lead to condensation and mold/mildew. According to the size/performance chart in the instructions, this fan is for is almost too big for the room (about 100sf). So I use the fan on low and left one small cap and one large cap on, as the directions indicated. I think having additional ducting actually works to my advantage, since the fan's ability to move air is somewhat diminished by having to 'pull' air through that duct. I don't have a traditional install to compare this to, but I will say that the fan is working fantastically for my bedroom. Warm air enters the top of the room and pushes the cold air back into the living area through the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. The fan is plugged into a Lux Win100 thermostat so it turns on only when the thermostat calls for heat. The fan noise is very low, in my opinion. Just gentle white noise. Dings - - Installation instructions. The instructions make it seem like utmost precision is required when cutting holes, but that's not really the case. I wouldn't advise anyone to be purposefully sloppy, but a little a little slop is ok. - More importantly, I was not impressed by the way the inlet cover is supposed to mate to the flanged sheet metal sleeve. It looked like the flange was supposed to mate with the plastic housing, but the sizes don't match. So you're left just kind of 'making it work'. That's not the end of the world, but some kind of snap fit would work much better. I almost took a star off for that, but it's not a performance issue. All in all, this is a fantastic solution since it works great and it's way cheaper than buying and running a space heater.

Great!! 5 stars. Owned it since 2015 works 24 hours a day.
Does exactly what it says. Great price. Just ordered a second one, just incase it breaks at sometime. We have a bedroom that doesn’t get enough air conditioning because there is no ventilation to let air out so only some much air can flow in. This is the perfect solution.

Bought one of these, installed it and when we turned the power on, the fan inside the unit flies loose of the motor shaft. Called Suncourt and they tell us to return it because this sometimes happens. Second unit arrived today and re-installed. Again, turned the power on and the same thing occurred. There is no glue or fastener between the fan and the shaft on the motor. Really poor design Suncourt.

this fan is quiet enough for our family room and moves air heated by our heat pump into the room. happy and buying another for a new addition going up. (we use it mostly on the lower setter (which is more than adequate for our small rooms)...high setting sound is more invasive.
