Pilates Anatomy Review: I like the pictures and steps to take along with options - Have not read it completely, but I like the "right to the point notes" when describing some of the sections. The illustrations are good along with the brief steps to take when inhaling and exhaling, and what to move and what not to move. I also like the explanation on what body areas each exercise is good for. Review: A must in your Pilates repertoire - If you want to get into the needy greedy of the anatomy of the movement, skills of Pilates, this book will not disappoint you. You don’t need to be an MD to decipher it’s content. It’s written in a way that is simple enough to understand to those with knowledge of Pilates. One of the best anatomy books for Pilates I have read. I highly recommend recommended..

The book I pull out the most
I bought this, and a handful of other popular pilates books such as: the second edition of Rael's Pilates book, the Pilates Body, Big Book of Pilates, and a DK pilates book. They each have little nuggets of info I found valuable. However, after having gone to a reformers class a few times I wanted something that could give me a beginners routine for the mat. This book had exactly what I wanted. Compared to Rael's 2nd edition of Pilates book, the beginners mat routine has been easier to get going with and included modifications to build up to the full version of a move. There is nothing about the extra gear-involved moves so it's easier to find what I need. I have already grown stronger only a few weeks from doing the beginners routine and have progressed to the normal version for some of them. If I could go back and buy only one book, for me it would be this one!
