Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats

Cute, but is missing Grizabella the Glamour Cat- my fault for not realizing she was added in later. I guess I assumed she was put in the newer print versions due to being the star of CATS. She’s my favorite part of the musical so I wish she was in the book.

Bought for someone left on this planet who hasn’t seen cats play and musical or movie nor read the poems that inspired all!

I don't generally like poetry but this is the best. Also illustrated by Gorey, which is perfect.

Perrrrrfect. So much fun to read. Now I can sing along to CATS.

Classic reading for my preteens library.

great book, I rescue cats so I can really see the point of it.....

I used this book to give a dear elderly friend and cat adorer, the background to one of the longest running theatre shows, now a film which has been scorned but I truly believe that, had Andrew L. Weber included the book in the PR lead-up to Cats going to Broadway, respect would have followed...acknowledge the provenance, always! We both loved the illustrations and I consider the book a treasure. I have loved it since my mother brought it into my life as a small child. Thankyou!
