Excellent software it worked perfect transferring the information from my old computer to the new computer very satisfied thank you so much. I would highly recommend this product

THIS IS ONLY THE CABLE. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE NECESSARY SOFTWARE TO TRANSFER FILES. As far as the cable goes, it is great. It appears to be a 6 ft. CAT 5 ethernet male-to-male cable. I do not know if the cable has any specific configuration that a normal CAT 5 cable would not have.

Easy to hook up. Software downloaded fine. Then we find out that we have to shut down wifi and antivirus. After the fact. Then contact customer service, get an uninstaller to download, which works quite well, then download software again and start all over, then find out there is a different version for different windows versions, blahnik, blah... wasted 3 hours trying to make this work. Won't try again! Worn by again.

The marketing is a lie. It is not easy to use! And it does not transfer Apps. It took their technical guy 45 minutes and control of my two computers to get the program to work! It did finally work. Also, they said it would not transfer passwords, except all you have to do is sign in Google with your PIN, and it will transfer passwords from old to new computer!

Product is great - except that transferring a USER from XP to Windows 10 failed on the USER aspect. Files went, but user could not be created. I contacted Laplink support, after working with me determined that it was a Win10 issue. They would work with me for $99 to resolve this issue or (I think it was) $129 for a year for any issues. Funny, when I called Microsoft and went through the problem (yes, it is a Win10 problem, not fixed by Microsoft) they told me the same thing, and offered the same prices for the same resolution. I don't fault Laplink for the issue, but it would have been nice if they had told me straight-out that the creation of a USER on Win10 was an issue.

Worked like a dream! Easy to use. No problems. Complete transfer in an hour.

Transferred everything from my friend’s old laptop to her new one. Super easy and fast.

Had some problems getting it to work but their support were great. I gave them access to both laptops and they resolved the issue. They were very patient and really helpful.

No good if you also want to transfer programs and apps

Transpires that it only transfers files and not applications. Can upgrade to include apps for another $35 but I'm now a little gunshy and looking at other products that are a little more up front with the information.
